People see your success at the finish line… 🏁❤️
But how many people saw you start?

From grade school through 10th grade, I watched my father battle diabetes, undergo a leg amputation, and fight MRSA and a flesh-eating infection. I watched my family go through things that changed me long before I was old enough to fully understand them.

Then, in 10th grade, I lost my dad. 💔

And life didn’t stop.

I still had to go to school. I still had to grow up. I still had to carry the weight of losing my father while trying to figure out who I was becoming.

There were things I carried that people couldn’t see. Pain I didn’t talk about. Moments where I had every reason to give up—but somehow, I kept going.

Today, when people see my strength, my success, and the woman I’ve become, they see the finish line.

They didn’t see the little girl who had to learn how to keep moving while watching her father fight for his life. They didn’t see what it took to become who I was chosen to be. ❤️

And honestly… I’m proud of her.
Because she kept going. 🙏🏽✨

Never judge someone’s finish line when you know nothing about the race they had to run. 🏁❤️
