π Hydration doesn't have to come from plain water alone.
We all know staying hydrated is important, but here's some good news...
Your body gets hydration from more than just a glass of water.
Some great options include:
β Herbal teas (hot or iced)
π₯ Cucumbers
π Watermelon
π Berries
π Citrus fruits
π₯¬ Leafy greens
π₯£ Broth-based soups
π₯₯ Coconut water (without added sugar)
π§ Plain water with fresh fruit or herbs for flavor
If plain water isn't your favorite, don't give up on hydration altogether. Small choices throughout the day can add up.
Hydration supports healthy digestion by helping keep stool soft and easier to pass, allowing fiber to do its job, and supporting your body's many natural processes.
What's your favorite way to stay hydrated?
β Herbal tea
π§ Plain water
π Infused water
π₯ Water-rich foods

π₯ Digestion doesn't start in your stomachβit starts in your mouth.
Chewing thoroughly breaks food into smaller pieces and mixes it with digestive enzymes in your saliva. This helps reduce the workload on the rest of your digestive system and supports better nutrient absorption.
Eating slowly also gives you the opportunity to truly taste and savor your food, helping you slow your mind, be present in the moment, and recognize when you're comfortably full.
A few simple habits to try:
π₯ Put your fork down between bites.
π¦· Chew a little longer than you think you need to.
π Notice the flavors, textures, and aromas of your food.
π§ Be present and enjoy the experience of eating.
Your gutβand your mindβwill thank you.

πΏ As summer begins to wind down and we prepare for a new school year, don't forget to simply be still. πΏ
Take a few moments to step outside in the early morning or as the day comes to a close. Listen to the birds, the gentle hum of the bees, or the evening song of the cicadas. Feel the breeze, breathe in the fresh air, and let your feet sink into the grass.
For just 20β30 minutes, put away the distractions and immerse yourself in the beauty of what is right in front of you.
Sometimes we're so busy looking ahead that we miss the blessings that surround us in this very moment.
May you find a little time today to slow down, be present, and let your heart rest in the simple gifts of the here and now. π

πΆ Your digestive system likes movement.
Regular physical activity helps stimulate the natural contractions of your digestive tract, making it easier for waste to move through the colon.
The good news? You don't need an intense workout to reap the benefits.
Try incorporating simple movement throughout your day, such as:
πΆ A 10β20 minute walk after a meal
π§ Gentle yoga or stretching (especially twists and child's pose)
πͺ Deep squats or using a toilet stool while on the toilet
π² Cycling
πΏ Gardening
π Dancing
Every little bit of movement counts. Small, consistent habits often make the biggest difference for your digestive health.

π½ It might seem harmless to wait until it's "more convenient," but making a habit of ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement can affect your digestive health.
Regularly ignoring the urge can allow stool to accumulate. Over time, this can cause the re**um to become enlarged and less sensitive, making it harder to recognize when it's time to go. As a result, constipation may become more likely.
One of the simplest ways to support healthy bowel function is to listen to your body. When your body tells you it's time to go, go.
