A little behind the scenes of one of my favorite things to make. 🤍

Our Whipped Body Butter is made a little differently than a traditional body butter. We use hydrosol + rich butters and oils, so you’re getting hydration AND the moisture-locking goodness your really dry skin needs — without just coating your skin in oil.

Then we add lavender + eucalyptus essential oils for that fresh, spa-like scent 🌿

And yes… piping these jars might be one of the most satisfying parts of making products by hand. 😂

“Before you meet Lauren, just know… she’s a lot. In the best and most exhausting way possible.

She will have 14 ideas before breakfast and somehow turn three of them into actual businesses by lunch. She’ll ask you a question, interrupt your answer because she just thought of something else, then circle back 45 minutes later and expect you to remember exactly where you left off.

If something isn’t working, she cannot leave it alone. She will reformulate it, remake it, heat-test it, research it, order supplies for it, and probably have a minor emotional breakdown over it — all before admitting defeat.

She cares way too much. About her customers. Her family. Her animals. Some random dog she met. Whether somebody’s deodorant melted in a mailbox three states away. Things that objectively could be Somebody Else’s Problem somehow become Lauren’s problem.

She’s incredibly particular, but not because she needs everything perfect. She needs it to be right. There’s a difference, and you’re going to learn it.

Do not casually mention an idea around her unless you’re prepared for her to turn it into a fully operational plan.

She will forget something important while remembering an extremely specific detail from six months ago. She needs reminders for the reminder she already set.

She is simultaneously, ‘I can absolutely do this myself’ and ‘WHY AM I DOING EVERYTHING MYSELF?’

And whatever you do, do not tell her something can’t be done.

Because now she has to do it.” 😭

The fact that my husband and I were crying laughing because there is not ONE inaccurate statement in this entire thing. 😂

If you’ve been here a while, you know Bella Hue started after almost 17 years behind the chair and developing some pretty crazy allergies to the ingredients I was exposed to every day.

What started as me simply trying to create better options has grown into something I never could have imagined — and I will forever be grateful to you guys for that. 🤍

One thing about me has always stayed the same: I LOVE a before + after. Give me a problem, let me figure it out, and let me feel like I’m making a difference. It’s what I loved about doing hair, and it’s exactly what I love about formulating.

Another thing that’s never changed? I am slightly obsessed with animals. 😂

Four dogs, a rescue donkey, and too many cows — that yes, I name even though they’re basically very expensive yard ornaments. 😂

And then Roscoe found us. 🥹

Our newest little rescue came with incredibly sensitive skin and ongoing heartworm treatment. I found myself paying attention to what I was putting ON him just as much as I do with myself and my family.

So naturally… I ended up back in the shop.

Playing with ingredients. Testing formulas. Thinking, I can make this better.

And this little dream I’ve had in the back of my mind for years suddenly started feeling a whole lot more real.

Building another business while already running one might be a little crazy 😆, but I am SO excited to combine two things I love so much: creating better products and loving on all the animals.

The little girl who struggled so much in school and wondered if she was “smart enough” would never believe this is where we ended up.

I think she’d be pretty freaking proud. 🤍

And probably mostly excited about the four dogs, donkey and cows. 😂

I can’t wait to bring you guys along as Bella Pooch comes to life. 🐾.
