What's it all about?

1. Bemotrizinol (BEMT) has been used safely and effectively in European and Korean sunscreens for over 20 years. Now it is FDA approved in the U.S.!

2. It blocks against UVA and UVB rays (broad spectrum)

3. More stable in UV light compared to other current CHEMICAL sunscreens, so it may not need as many added ingredients.

4. Less sticky and smells better than most current chemical sunscreens when it's on the skin

It will be released in the U.S. under the trade name Parsol Shield

**I still highly recommend using a mineral (physical) sunscreen for the face, neck, chest and back of hands every day! - It blocks rays before penetrating the skin rather than absorbing and filtering like chemical sunscreens. EltaMD is still my fav and is available online!

A conservative amount of appropriately placed filler can go a long way in softening and balancing the face. This is just a reminder that filler can be subtle and understated, while also being transformative. You should leave my office feeling just like you...with a boost💫

Neurotoxin Type A (Dysport | Botox | Xeomin | Daxxify) can do amazing things! By temporarily stopping the nerve conduction to specific muscles, we can soften (and even eliminate) lines and wrinkles for 3-4 months! I always recommend planning ahead for treatment prior to major events, such as your wedding, speaking engagements, family photos, etc! Tox treatments should be done 3-4 weeks prior to give time for processing any bruises and for any touch-ups. Filler, laser, microneedling or chemical peels should all be done at least 4-6 weeks prior to accommodate swelling, bruising, peeling and overall healing! I think it’s safe to say that most of us would love it if all aesthetic treatments were associated with instant gratification. Some skincare treatments make you feel pretty great fairly quickly and filler definitely has some benefit pretty readily, but that just isn’t the case with neurotoxins. Botox | Dysport | Xeomin take 5-10 days to fully take effect depending on the brand used, and like many aesthetic treatments, requires maintenance! I’m here to tell you though, it’s worth the wait...when I look in the mirror when my tox has finally taken effect, I instantly get a mood and confidence boost! I feel better, feel like I look a little more refreshed and recharged, and I just feel like ‘life is good’! Moral of the story...good things really do come to those who wait!
