We really don't talk about this enough in aesthetics. When our outward appearance starts to change with the aging process, we can start being bothered by no longer looking the way we feel. When your husband starts asking why you're mad when that's literally just the message your face is giving despite being completely content and happy. When someone tells you they thought you were "intimidating" or "unapproachable" until they met and actually talked to you because you now walk around with a constant grimace on your face because of collagen loss. None of this feels good. It can feel like our face is deceiving us and misleading those around us. It's about identity. The identity that we WANT to project to the world. So no, people don't come to me because they hate themselves, they have low self esteem, they are vain or they want to look like everyone else with lip filler and a smooth forehead. They come to me because the only person they want to look like again is themself. And that's what I do best❤️

I have had this experience myself, and it even shocked me a little...After 8 years of having my forehead and 11s treated with neuromodulators, I developed complete resistance to type A neurotoxins (Botox/Dysport/Xeomin/Daxxify)...I was DEVASTATED, to say the least...especially as an injector! I took the next 2 years to focus on skincare and building collagen in my tissues, etc., and what shocked me the most is that despite having little to no tox for almost 2 years, my forehead and 11s never got even close to as bad as they were before I started treating them 10 years ago! With consistent treatment during the 8 years that it was working well for me, in combination with doing all the other things to support good treatment results (daily sunscreen, collagen stimulation, at-home red light therapy and using quality skincare products daily), my forehead and 11s are still virtually smooth at rest.
