The phrase was never about making connections to get ahead. What I’ve learned is that it’s really about building genuine relationships and showing up over time.
Before there was a brick-and-mortar practice, I was doing makeup for the team at . I had a front-row seat watching the vision grow from an idea into the thriving practice it is today. At the time, I never could have imagined I’d one day be part of that story.
When I decided to stay in Colorado instead of moving to Florida, I knew I needed a change. I loved building BB, but I also needed space to focus on myself, not just the brand.
During a self-care day at LaVie, I mentioned that I was interested in making the transition to .reconnoisseur. The response?
“You wouldn’t want to work front desk, would you?”
A conversation turned into an interview, and an interview turned into an opportunity. Today, I serve as Front Desk Concierge and Social Media Manager.
Going from wearing all the hats as a business owner to wearing a few has definitely been “freeing”. Every experience, every challenge, and every role I’ve had prepared me for this one.
This journey has reminded me that the relationships you build throughout your life matter. The people you support, collaborate with, and genuinely connect with often come back into your story in ways you never expect. Being on the medical side of the beauty industry has taught me something new every day, and having the opportunity to grow creatively with a company I wholeheartedly believe in has been incredibly fulfilling.
