Your eyebrow color isn’t one-size-fits-all. Here’s why. 👀

When I’m selecting pigment for your permanent brows, I’m not just looking at your skin tone-I’m reading your undertones. Cool violet? Warm peach? Olive? Each one shifts how pigment appears once it heals.

Here’s the formula: skin undertone + pigment color = your true healed result. 👌🏼

Your undertone determines which colors complement your skin and which ones will look muddy or washed out.

💙💜A cool violet undertone needs warmth (yellow). Olive skin needs orange or golden bases. Brown skin-which is always cool despite appearing warm-needs careful pigment selection to avoid looking ashy.

And it doesn’t stop there. Face shape, natural hair color, and how your skin ages all factor in. As you get older, undertones shift cooler, not warmer. That means your brows may need color adjustments over time to stay true.

📝 This is why consultation matters. It’s not about trends or what looks good on someone else. It’s about what looks intentional, natural, and right for you.

🤗Your brows should enhance your features-not fight them.

Most of the time, Your face shape determines your ideal brow design, however, there are multiple factors that ultimately play apart in creating the ideal results.

Not all eyebrows are created equal—and that’s the point. As a permanent makeup artist, I design brows based on your unique facial structure, not trends. Here’s how I approach each face shape to enhance your natural proportions and build confidence.

🍈Oval Face The gold standard. Balanced proportions mean your brows need minimal modification. I’ll use standard measurements to create a timeless design that complements everything.

🟧Square Face Strong jawline, broad forehead. Your brows benefit from softening that angular structure while maintaining definition. Strategic arch placement creates harmony.

🔵Round Face Angular brows are non-negotiable here. Avoid curved designs—they amplify roundness. I’ll use linear lines and balanced width-to-length proportions to add dimension and definition.

🍐 Pear Face Narrow forehead, wider at cheeks and chin. This shape requires precision. I extend the tail slightly outward and raise the arch to create linear effects that minimize jawline bulk. It’s complex work, and that’s why consultation matters.

🫒Oblong/Rectangular Face Longer than it is wide with straight cheek lines. Your brows need width, not height. I keep arches minimal and lengthen tails slightly to add horizontal balance and offset the linear appearance.

🔷Diamond Face Widest at cheekbones, narrow at forehead and jawline. I use arch design and strategic tail placement to balance vertical lines and create a polished, intentional look.

♥️Heart Face Wide top third, small bottom third. To balance that top-heavy appearance, I keep brow tails slightly shorter and focus on proportion and placement.

This is why consultation is everything. Your brows aren’t one-size-fits-all—they’re tailored to your face, your features, and your confidence.

1️⃣ Super thin eyebrows make you look older and they’re just a trend that 90% of people can’t grow back.

2️⃣ Most microblading artists who don’t have proper education go too deep into the skin with the pigment and they’re actually giving you a permanent tattoo & skin scarring for a discounted price.

3️⃣ Color theory is EVERYTHING.
Warmer colors may make you look more youthful, darker skin types don’t need darker colors (dark blonde light brown work beautifully on dark skin NOT BLACK). Your undertones + pigment + healed results = target color.

4️⃣ Hair Strokes WILL migrate over time.
Even done very superficially, it will FADE yes, but keep layering pigment in the same place over & over and pigment will start settling in the deeper layers of skin and it will migrate. Your hair strokes will always become blurry over time. ( you may need to transition to a powder brow or opt in to a removal and start fresh)

5️⃣ PMU isn’t ONE & DONE.
Touch ups are necessary to ensure the target color stays favorable and in some cases a removal or lightening will be necessary if the future. Especially if you want to keep those hair strokes clean and crisp 🎯

6️⃣ When you pay an artist’s rate, you’re paying for their talent and skill + years of learning, not just for the hours of the procedure.
