Hey it’s Mike Lynn! Our friend story goes way back to the beginning in 1983. Mike worked at Apple Records just two doors west from Headquarters. We used to have pizza every Friday night for two reasons. Mike really likes pizza and the other was if the pizza restaurant didn’t deliver within a certain time the customer would get it for free! We got many pizza’s for free back then. Mike would call and say it’s here and I would go over in between my appointments. That went on for a few years and then his life changed and he switched jobs, got married and had a family. We lost touch for many years. One day about 20 years ago, I saw him in my neighborhood delivering the mail! I stopped my car and had a chat with him. Since then he’s been coming in for haircuts and sometimes we go out for pizza! Yay for us and our friendship and of course pizza! 🍕

My doctor my friend, Stephanie Bartels. Forty years ago a very pregnant Stephanie came in to have her hair styled. It was a hot summer day and I will never forget it because I thought she might go into labor because she was so overheated. We talked and laughed and made a long lasting connection. She became my doctor and I am her stylist. She has since retired and I wish she could still be my doctor.❤️ Thank you for all your wisdom Stephanie.❤️

Global Leadership Summit 2026!

This is my friend Julie Vinci. She is a few years younger than I but we did go to high school together. Since way back then I have been styling her hair. I have been a small part of Julie’s story. She married Jim and they had four beautiful boys together. Julie is a stay at home mom who home schooled the boys and she was good at it! They are now grown men that have become wonderful successful people. Julie was open to trying new hairstyles and color. We now choose styles that are cute and easy. Wash and wear is the goal. Thank you Julie, I am so glad to be your friend!❤️

My cousin Barbara Schrage lived next door to us on Plainfield Dr. for all of my young years. I was the youngest of the cousins and Barbara would often take me with her to so many places. Day trips to the lake to waterski and often over for weekends after she had her children Julie and Amy. I loved it because I got to sleep in the nursery with the babies. She would tell me not to wake the baby but sometimes I did because I wanted to hold the her. I loved those weekends! She always had a craft for me to do. Usually something for Christmas. We are still very close and I often talk to her on the way to work or on my way home. We have seen each other through good times and sad times. Mostly good because the sad times just drift away and the good times rise to the top. I was her flower girl at her wedding and I got to wear a fuschia dress and I had my first updo hairstyle and I think I was 5 years old❤️ I will always be your flower girl Barbara! I will love you always❤️
