we have a bulltánica update.

moe and monica have decided that we cannot stay closed while the whitehall process continues.

our community still needs care… and we still need to be able to offer massage, herbs, consultations, and a place for people to land.

so we are making a practical shift.

starting july 7th! booking July 1 ( first come first served)

massage by moe is moving public appointments back to UDI at 800 n. mangum… inside the blue bill bell building… in sacred old five points.
monica is moving the bulltánica herb shop into the cottage at whitehall terrrace… with limited appointment hours for herbs, consultations, pickup, and private plant medicine support.

the mural room at whitehall will remain available for select private sessions… but it will not be open to public booking in the same way right now.

we will still host private dinners, small gatherings, and invited circles when it feels right and safe.

but for now… our public massage schedule is returning to UDI

this decision is about safety… steadiness… and making sure Bulltánica does not disappear while the legal and city process moves.

We are preparing to file this week to seek remedy around Whitehall Terrace. that process could move quickly… or it could move slowly. there may also need to be another rezoning process, and that could take another ten months.

Bulltánica’s work at Whitehall Terrace began with a preservation and community well-being vision: to protect a historic Durham home, restore its grounds, honor the Marlette and Hayes family legacy, and create a space for care, gardens, education, bodywork, cultural memory, and repair.

Over the past year, we have invested significant labor, money, planning, and care into that vision. We helped steward the property, began garden and restoration work, participated in public meetings and rezoning conversations, researched the history of the house, and developed the framework for the Sonny Marlette Fund and Martha Ruth Hayes Gardens.

Now booking in downtown durham

After 6 years in the UDI Building, I’m closing my studio there and opening a new home for my work at the cottage on Whitehall Terrace.

This move is more than an address change — it’s a step closer to the kind of healing I want to build: slower, more intentional, and rooted in community.

To everyone who booked, referred, supported, and trusted me with your body and your story at UDI: thank you. You made that space sacred.

I’ll share move dates + booking updates in my stories soon. For now: same hands, same care — new chapter. 🌿🤍

the shelves came in a day late . the shelves missed the open house … but we didn’t miss you. 30 friends showed up and 100 said sorry they wish they were there .

Bulltánica

Bulltánica is a center for well-being. A place to nourish your physical, mental, and emotional health.
For the next three years, we will be at UDI building community and protecting individual well-being. We are all interconnected, and focusing on relational healing will uncover our potential to connect with others. We will provide resources to foster the whole person and neighborhood health.

In addition, we are adding Lauren Light LMBT to our collaboration, as we develop a lymphatic tissue release involving four hands. While we welcome Lauren to our staff, I am happy to offer half off one hour of service ($50) until December.
