We love kids at The Wayward Parlor! I'm a firm believer that kids who feel safe at the salon expressing themselves grow up into cool people- just ask any one of my longtime customers who I've taken from "first big kid haircut" to "its my prom!" to "I'm graduating!!" to "I'm getting married!" to bringing in their *own* kids-beyond amazing to be a part of lives like that. It's such a fun and wild thing to experience in my 20+ years of being a kid-friendly stylist. That being said-we aren't a "kids salon"-we are an adult space that kids are welcome to be in. I think kids haircuts shouldn't be scary, but an experience where they learn to be still, to ask for what they want, to be realistic with expectations, and to learn to trust the process!
Tell your kids I think they're cool...and to sit still!

The Wayward Parlor recently lost an icon. Cynthia Roseberry was more than a client, she was a neighbor, and a true friend. I looked to her for advice, for gossip on local politics, and always inspiration! She told me *every single time* I did her hair for 15 plus years that she "was putty in my hands". I'm so grateful that I got to be the colorist who painted the mane of East Point's most notorious elder unicorn. Cynthia was good trouble, a good friend and an open heart...and a smart mouth who took zero s**t off anybody. She always told me getting old wasn't for pu***es, and I tended to her hair with reverence because it is no small thing to be in the presence and service of your elders during their twilight years. She gave the world hell for 85 years and I am deeply honored to have been a part of her life.
Go be beautiful and free, Ms Cynthia. I'll miss you.

Hey yall! I'm just jumping on here to let y'all know that, starting in August, I will have EVENING APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE twice a month on Thursdays, from 430-7pm!
