Our Story
I am Velia Juarez, a young entrepreneur and owner of Wigs by Vee. Wigs by Vee was planted a decade ago by Our Wig Legend Ms. Patti Joyce. She has over 20 years of experience and training in the art of makeup, custom wig making, cutting and styling. Ms. Patti a wig designer in the production department of Jon Renau Collection. She is also a cancer survivor & most amazing soul in the world. For a decade I was under her wing and had the honor to learn from the best mentor ever. On November 11, 2016 Wigs by Vee was established in the heart of La Jolla, CA with the Phenix Salon Suites Family. A year and nine months later the business was relocated to My Salon Suite in Escondido, CA.
Wigs by Vee accommodates a custom wig and hat magic, along with all services & refurbish treatments. This is provided at no cost to children and young adults facing any medical related hair loss. I am a firm believer that this is my opportunity to give back to the universe. It all started when I volunteered at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego and bloomed to Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center, City of Hope Los Angeles and Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, NV.
Knowledge is power, and power is all I want to give to our young generation. To fight the battle and win the war while holding the vision together and trusting the process. I have no desire to be known just felt. Knowing I can contribute in a crazy life road is honestly my passion.
Our Warriors deserve it all. I believe that part of the treatment is that you must look good to feel good. It is why I believe that a custom wig is a must. About 98% of the wigs and toppers need to be thin, cut, style or even just STEAM. Steam removes the “box hair” and changes the memory of the wig to allow it to look more like real hair! My sewing technique is performed by hand to each wig providing security and confidence. Free to go on with your day at the farmers market or a day at Disneyland!!
