THIS WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE A PUBLIC POST.

Let me make that VERY clear before anybody decides I'm doing this out of spite.

I wasn't.

I had absolutely no intention of putting anybody's name online. I wasn't trying to embarrass anybody. I wasn't looking for revenge. I wanted the situation handled, and I wanted to go back to my day.

But today, after a massage therapist was approached for a NURU massage, somehow the biggest concern became whose name might be associated with what happened.

And THAT changed my mind.

Because I'm not protecting somebody else's reputation at the expense of protecting MY profession or the women working in it.

So yes.

I'm naming the person involved.

Brian Conn.

I'm going to be VERY clear about what I am and am not saying:

I have messages.

I have screenshots.

I have documentation.

I'm telling you what was actually communicated to me. I'm not inventing a story, and I'm not claiming that somebody has been convicted of a crime.

For anyone who doesn't know what a NURU massage is: NURU massage is an erotic/s*xual massage involving n**e or minimally clothed bodies, massage gel/oil, and intimate physical contact. It is NOT a standard therapeutic massage modality, and it is not something I offer.

I am a licensed massage therapist.

I am NOT a s*x worker.

And before anybody tries to make this into me being “too sensitive” or “not understanding what someone meant” — no.

I know exactly what NURU massage is.

I know exactly what I offer.

And I know exactly where my professional boundaries are.

West Virginia law specifically addresses solicitation of prostitution, lewdness, or assignation. Under W. Va. Code §61-8-5, the law prohibits soliciting, inducing, enticing, or procuring another person to commit an act of prostitution, lewdness, or assignation.

And NO, the statute does not require somebody to literally type:

“I will give you $___ for s*x.”

The communication, circumstances, conduct, and intent can all be relevant.

I'm not a judge, prosecutor, or attorney, and I'm not going to sit here and declare somebody legally guilty of anything.

But I WILL tell you exactly what happened to me.

And I WILL show the documentation I have.

I contacted law enforcement today because I was being approached for something that has absolutely nothing to do with legitimate massage therapy.

And apparently, after that, the concern became:

“Please don't put our names online.”

Well...

Maybe think about that BEFORE sending the message.

Because here's where I need to say something to every other massage therapist who has experienced this:

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

You know the Mean Girls burn book?

😂 Yeah. Except ours has screenshots.

If you've had somebody cross this line with you too, SAY SOMETHING.

If you have receipts, POST THEM UNDER THIS POST.

Screenshots.

Messages.

Booking requests.

Actual documentation.

Let the receipts speak for themselves.

But DO NOT make s**t up.

Don't exaggerate.

Don't post somebody's home address or other private information.

Don't accuse someone of something you cannot substantiate.

Receipts. Not rumors.

Because I'm not interested in creating fake drama.

I'm interested in making sure massage therapists know what they're walking into when a name or number pops up in their inbox.

And for the people who think massage therapists should just laugh this stuff off:

NO.

We don't have to accept being s*xually propositioned because we work with our hands.

We don't have to pretend it's flattering.

We don't have to tolerate somebody turning our profession into a s*xual invitation.

Massage therapy is a profession.

My body isn't part of the service.

My license isn't an invitation.

My business isn't a dating app.

And NURU is not something I offer.

So no, I'm not going to quietly smile and pretend this s**t is funny because I'm a massage therapist.

Respect goes both ways.

And when someone doesn't respect the profession, the therapist, or the boundary?

We're allowed to talk about it.

I didn't make this post because I wanted revenge.

I didn't make this post because I wanted to embarrass anybody.

I made it because I want other massage therapists to know who they're dealing with before they're put in the same position I dealt with today.

If putting this information out there means one therapist recognizes a name, sees the warning, and avoids having to deal with the same thing I dealt with today...

Then it was worth posting.

That's it.

That's the reason.

Not spite.

Not revenge.

Protection.

So let's talk.

Let's share the receipts.

Let's protect each other.

And maybe people will finally understand:

WE ARE MASSAGE THERAPISTS.

NOT S*X WORKERS.

NOT YOUR S*XUAL OUTLET.

AND DEFINITELY NOT YOUR NURU GIRL. 💅🏼💜

Respect the profession. Respect the boundary.

Basically, this man is out here being a massage superstar with TWO massage jobs while still being Dad, and honestly… somebody needs to give him a cape. 😂👏🏼

I’m moving!

The boys and I are starting our own little home, and I’m officially starting from scratch with a lot of things. A few people have asked how they can help, so I put together a little housewarming registry/wishlist with some of the things we need to get settled.

There is absolutely NO pressure or expectation to buy anything. Seriously.

🚨 A PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARY REMINDER 🚨

I am a licensed massage therapist.

Massage therapy is exactly that — massage therapy.

There are no “happy endings.”
There are no s*xual services.
There are no “those kinds” of massages.

Please do not make s*xual comments toward me, ask me for s*xual services, or assume that because I’m a massage therapist, I’m somehow available for that.

Unfortunately, this has gone beyond an occasional inappropriate comment.

Someone actually showed up at my mom’s house asking for me personally to come do an in-home massage… of that kind.

Absolutely not.

My mom’s house is not my business location. My family is not an extension of my business. And nobody should be showing up at a family member’s home looking for me for something s*xual.

Do not do that.

I love what I do. I love my clients. I love creating a space where people can relax, feel safe, cared for, and leave feeling better than when they came in.

But being friendly, goofy, personable, or comfortable talking about massage does not mean my professional boundaries disappear.

So let’s keep it really simple:

Massage = massage.

Please respect me, my family, my work, and my boundaries. 💜

And to the overwhelming majority of my clients who have always treated me and my profession with respect — THANK YOU. I appreciate you more than you know. 🥹💜
