Those of us who participated in the tanning salon craze of the 2000s (guilty), have been reckoning with that for years. But a new study from Northwestern Medicine and the University of California, San Francisco reveals that the cancer risk from tanning beds is even worse than we ever knew—uniquely bad, in fact.
