Is coffee the first thing you reach for in the morning?

Caffeine can temporarily raise cortisol- your stress hormone, and stress can worsen breakouts in acne-prone skin. If coffee leaves you feeling jittery or anxious, pay attention to how much you’re drinking and how it makes you feel.

Try a gentle morning ritual: start with water, then a nourishing breakfast before your coffee. A warm cup of bone broth can also provide protein and collagen-derived amino acids.

Coffee isn’t a proven acne trigger for everyone. Understanding your skin means looking at the bigger picture: stress, sleep, skincare, and your individual habits.

At Healthy Glow Aesthetics, we look beyond the surface.

Save this for your next morning routine.

Think of Breeze as a mini pressure washer for your skin-with a controlled stream of air that helps deliver skincare serums instead of simply spreading them on the surface.

At Healthy Glow Aesthetics, we select the serums specifically for your skin’s needs. The pressurized delivery helps support absorption, while the serums provide hydration and nourishment for a smoother, refreshed glow.

When should your child start using a face wash? Let their skin’s needs guide you.

Around ages 8–12—can be a good time to introduce gentle daily cleansing, especially as oiliness, sports and sunscreen use increase. Younger children may need a mild cleanser to remove sunscreen and dirt, too.

Keep the routine simple: gentle cleansing, moisturizer as needed and daily SPF. Skip scrubbing and unnecessary anti-aging products.

Face Reality’s Barrier Balance Creamy Cleanser is a creamy, hydrating option we can help you choose based on your child’s skin.

Available at Healthy Glow Aesthetics. Ask us about building a simple routine for your tween.

My favorite anti-aging hacks? Consistency and a plan that works for your skin.

1. Red light. Make it part of your routine and stay consistent. It only works if you use it!!
2. Sofwave. Ultrasound skin tightening with no downtime. Once or twice a year, depending on your skin and goals.
3. Microneedling. One of my favorite treatments for improving texture, fine lines, pigmentation, acne, Melasma and acne scars. Add Exosomes or PDRN, depending on your skin.
4. Science-backed skincare. What you use at home can make a world of difference. The right products, and daily sunscreen, help support your results between treatments.

Beautiful skin comes from what you do consistently. Save this post, and schedule a consultation at Healthy Glow Aesthetics to create your personalized plan.

You know the compliment you want to hear at a holiday party?

“Wow, your skin looks so good. What have you been doing?”

If that’s your goal, now is the time to start. Microneedling is one of my favorite treatments because it can be tailored to so many skin goals: acne scars, uneven texture and tone, the appearance of pores, fine lines, neck lines, active acne, Melasma, under eye texture and darkness, rosacea, you name it!!

Ready for everyone to ask about your glow? Schedule your microneedling consultation at Healthy Glow Aesthetics.

Dry skin and dehydrated skin are not the same and treating them the same could leave your skin feeling even more unbalanced.

Dry skin is a skin type that naturally produces less oil. Dehydrated skin is a temporary condition caused by a lack of water, and it can affect every skin type, even oily skin.

When the skin barrier is weakened, more water escapes through the skin. This is called transepidermal water loss, or TEWL. The skin may begin to feel tight, look dull or flaky, and show more visible fine, crepey lines.

Dry skin needs lipids. Dehydrated skin needs water and barrier support. Sometimes, your skin needs both.

If you’re unsure whether your skin is dry, dehydrated, or both, always schedule a professional consultation. The right treatment begins with understanding what your skin is actually missing.

Two eye creams, which one is right for you? Or maybe both?

EyeMax AlphaRet Overnight Cream is my PM powerhouse for overall eye rejuvenation- fine lines, wrinkles, crepey texture, dullness and even those stubborn little milia.

InterFuse Intensive Treatment LINES is all about expression lines. Think crow’s feet and those lines created from years of smiling and movement. It uses peptides rather than a retinoid, so it can be used AM and/or PM.

And YES you can use both.
InterFuse in the morning + EyeMax at night is one of my favorite combinations for complete eye-area care.

Important: EyeMax contains a retinoid, so we do not recommend it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Which one are you using?

Getting out of your comfort zone sounds so inspiring… until you actually have to do it.

People love to say, “Do things that scare you.”
But nobody really talks about how uncomfortable that actually feels.

The overthinking before.
The voice telling you that maybe you’re not ready.
The fear of sounding stupid.
The fear of being judged.
The temptation to stay with what you already know you’re good at.

Starting a podcast scared me.

I’m comfortable being an aesthetician. I’m comfortable talking to my clients. I’m comfortable running my business and talking about skin all day long.

But sitting in front of a microphone and a camera, knowing my thoughts and words are going to live somewhere for people to listen to, judge, agree with, disagree with… that felt different.

And I realized something.

Your comfort zone isn’t necessarily where you’re happiest. Sometimes it’s simply where you know you can’t fail.

Every new version of yourself requires you to be a beginner again. And being a beginner when you’re already successful at something else can be incredibly uncomfortable.

You don’t feel confident first and then do the scary thing.

Sometimes you do it scared. And confidence comes afterward.

So this is me doing something that makes me uncomfortable. Something I’ve thought about for a long time. Something I could have easily kept postponing until I felt “ready.”

I’m still scared.

But I would rather find out what happens when I try than spend years wondering what could have happened if I had.

Maybe growth isn’t about becoming fearless.
Maybe it’s about becoming more willing to be scared and do it anyway.
