The last 15 Days

15 days back to back in the salon — pampering all of you, plus a stretch of travel for education mixed in. On paper that should've wrecked me. Instead? I was fueled the whole time. Genuinely just excited to be in the salon every single day. If that's not proof of how much I love what I do (and all of you), I don't know what is.

Speaking of travel — I might be heading to Valencia with Davines for their World Wide Hair Tour, Oct 3rd-10th (give or take — I may tack on a few extra days to explore). Spent this past weekend at Detlev Salon in Miami — a Davines Concept salon — working alongside Charles Gillick. Brilliant artist, and honestly what an education in how to educate. It was honor and privilege to stand beside him an assist walking stylists thru new cutting techniques, as well building skills on cuts that made them feel less confident and turning that around in a 4-hour class.

New Title.

I have to tell you something I'm genuinely thrilled about — it's official, post my visit to Brooklyn House, and I'm officially a Davines Educator.

I spent the week with an incredible group of stylists from all over — learning, talking, presenting, getting pushed in the best way. Huge thanks to everyone at Davines for making me feel so welcome, to my fellow Davines Educator team for making it such a great week, and to my bestie Justin for handing me the keys to his home in Brooklyn while he was off directing a movie (yes, really — that's its own story for another day).

So what does this actually mean for you?

It means you get a front-row seat. I'll have first look at new Davines launches 🚀😜 — and everything I learn comes straight back to the salon chair. I'm also bringing in a few additional Davines products soon, including Heart of Glass (more on that coming shortly — it's a good one).

Brooklyn & Buzzing - 🍕🥟🏙️!

I just got back from Davines' TTT training in Brooklyn, and I'm still buzzing.

A week of hands-on color and product work with some of the best in the industry — I came home with new techniques and rituals I can't wait to start weaving into your appointments. (Also came home missing the pizza, the dumplings, the handmade pasta, the cakes... but that's a different email.)

The best part wasn't even the training. It was the people. I met a group of stylists I know I'll be working with for years — one of them had never seen the Empire State Building, so naturally we took the ferry over (um... did you know they now charge $100 to go to the top? I'm no cheapskate — but really?) and up to the 102nd floor we went.

ONCE UPON A WASH...

There once was a strand of hair who had a secret. Buried deep, wash after wash, was a sneaky little villain named Buildup.
