A little before & after ✨🤎 Loving how this set turned out!

Hola holaaaa!!! Today’s class was all about enhancing the natural beauty of the eyes! We practiced eyelash and brow tinting, learning how the right tint can add definition and create a beautiful, natural-looking result. 🤎👀 Another skill added to the journey!

Today we learned something new in school 💄✨ My first time practicing makeup! I definitely still have a lot to learn 😂, but I really enjoyed the experience. 🤍 Nails, skincare… and now makeup 💅🏽🧖🏽‍♀️💄✨

Trying to get the perfect nail video was a struggle 😂😂 but we got there!

3 hours later and this was the final result 🥰 I had so much fun doing this set!

Nail health always comes first. 🤍

During this service, I noticed onycholysis, which is the separation of the natural nail plate from the nail bed.

Onycholysis can be caused by different factors, including trauma, over-filing, repeated pressure, prolonged exposure to moisture or chemicals, product irritation, and in some cases, an underlying infection or skin condition.

Because part of the nail was already separated from the nail bed, I made the decision to remove the product, shorten the affected area, and leave the nail without an enhancement rather than covering it with gel or adding an extension.

Why? Because covering a compromised nail can hide what is happening underneath and may create an environment where moisture can become trapped. Instead, we’re going to allow the healthy nail to grow and reassess it at her next appointment. 🌱

Sometimes being a nail tech isn’t about making all 10 nails look perfect. It’s about knowing when NOT to apply product. 💅🏼

Healthy natural nails will always be the priority. 🤍

💕 Sometimes nails are more than just a luxury.

This transformation was done on a client with onychophagia (nail biting). We started by carefully prepping the natural nails and creating a small extension to give them a little more length and a prettier, more balanced appearance. ✨

For some people, getting their nails done isn’t only about having pretty nails it can also help them feel more confident and comfortable with their hands. 🥹

A small change can make such a big difference.
