💙 THIS is what community over competition looks like! 👇
(Here’s the story)

At our 2nd Annual Minute to Win It: Around the World 🌍 fundraiser a couple weeks ago, something happened that perfectly captured how amazing the community we live in is!

One of The Traveling Youth’s longtime sponsors, Culver’s of Stuart & Jensen Beach, had one of its owners, Zac Rockefeller, competing in Dancing with the Martin Stars to raise money for Martin County Healthy Start.

We wanted to support him. He wanted to support us. So we found a way to do BOTH. 🌎💙

Thanks to Zac Rockefeller & Cheree Ramirez, we were gifted 3 tickets to Dancing with the Martin Stars to auction at our Minute to Win It event, we decided this:

50% of whatever we raised would support The Traveling Youth, and the other 50% would support Martin County Healthy Start.

Then our community took it to another level! 🥹

Jet Martel & Raymond Torres got into a little bidding war for the tickets. When the bid was around $200, Jet offered the FULL $390 value of the tickets… AND told Raymond he could have the tickets anyway. 🤯👏

Then Raymond turned around & donated ANOTHER $200!

Just like that, those 3 tickets raised $590, with $295 going to each nonprofit 💙💗

& then a few days later, three of our board members, Lucie McGuire, Nicole Zimnoch, and Lucie Wismer, got to attend Dancing with the Martin Stars & cheer Zac on…

& HE WON! 🏆🏆🏆🏆 4 TROPHIES!

Congratulations to Zac, Martin County Healthy Start, and everyone involved in putting on such an incredible event!

This is why we believe so deeply in collaboration over competition.

Martin County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc. supports families and children during critical stages of their lives. And years later, when some of those young people reach over 18, organizations like The Traveling Youth can help open another door through education, travel, personal growth, and the opportunity to discover more of the world and themselves. 🌎

Different missions. Different stages of life. One community working together to help people thrive.

THAT is what it looks like when everybody wins! 🫶

Thank you Jet, Raymond, Zac, Cheree, Culver’s, Martin County Healthy Start, and everyone who made this beautiful full-circle moment possible. 💙

Ended my week with another amazing Dermalogic visit. So thankful to have such a strong educational team that not only supports the students but also supports the instructors.
