💙 Important Business Update 💙

Unfortunately, due to a shoulder injury, I am currently unable to perform massage therapy services and will be taking some time away from work to focus on healing and recovery.

Effective immediately, I will not be accepting any new appointments until further notice.

For those who already have appointments scheduled, I will be reaching out to you individually to discuss rescheduling.

This is definitely not how I planned on things going, and stepping away from something I genuinely love doing is incredibly frustrating. However, I know that taking the time to properly heal is necessary so I can return to providing the quality of care my clients deserve.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding during this time.

I will continue to provide updates as I learn more about my recovery and when I can safely return to work.

☀️ Good morning, beautiful people! 💙

Happy Wednesday! We’re officially halfway through the week, and I have a little reminder for you this morning.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. And no, surviving on caffeine, stress, and sheer stubbornness doesn’t count as self-care. 😂☕ Between work, family, responsibilities, and the million other things life throws at us, it’s easy to put ourselves at the very bottom of the priority list.

But here’s the thing… your body keeps score.

That tension in your shoulders? The headaches? The feeling like you haven’t truly relaxed in weeks? Sometimes your body is practically waving a giant red flag while you’re over here saying, “I’m fine.” 🚩😂

Massage therapy isn’t just about treating yourself to something nice. It’s about giving your body the attention and care it deserves. So here’s your Wednesday reminder: Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. 💙

💆‍♀️ Let’s talk about pain for a minute, because not everyone experiences it the same way!

Something I found interesting recently was a large study looking at pain patterns in millions of people around the world. One of the findings? Women reported higher rates of pain than men across all 11 areas of the body studied.

And it brings up something I’ve talked about with clients for years. Pain is NOT one-size-fits-all.

Two people can have discomfort in the exact same area and experience it completely differently. What feels like mild tension to one person might be downright miserable for someone else.

And here’s something else I wish more people understood…

A deeper massage doesn’t automatically mean a better massage! 👏

As a massage therapist, my job isn’t to see how much pressure you can tolerate. It’s to listen, assess your needs, and adjust your session accordingly.

Some clients benefit from firmer pressure. Others respond better to lighter, more targeted work. And sometimes what your body needs today is completely different from what it needed last month.

That’s why communication during your session is SO important!

You don’t get bonus points for suffering through a massage. 😂

Therapeutic massage should be about working WITH your body, not fighting against it.
