Revive & Extend

Hi friends,

I haven’t posted in a long time, and I woke up today knowing it was time to give an update. In October, I found out I was pregnant. In February, we went in for the anatomy scan appointment we were so excited for, and were met with the devastating news that our little girl’s heart was no longer beating. The next day, I went to the hospital to be induced.

It is only possible through a relationship with God that on that day, though the weight of sadness was so heavy, I had not just peace, but joy. I was able to smile because I knew she was with God and that I will get to hold her and laugh with her one day. Never before have I been so thankful for the truth of the gospel—that because Jesus lived a perfect life, died for the sins of the world and rose again, death has no power. Because of Him, I will see my daughter again. All of my biggest prayers for her have been answered: she is perfectly healthy and whole, she knows and loves the Lord, and her life has already pointed many people, myself included, to God’s goodness.

It has been a hard few months for me and Jaxson, but the joy of the Lord has been and always will be our strength. We are so thankful for the four-and-a-half months we had to love her, pray for her, and dream about the future. Life doesn’t look the way we expected, but we know God has a good plan and works all things together for the good of those who love Him. Losing our girl doesn’t change that. I think about her every day, and I look forward to the day when I meet both my Savior and my daughter face to face.

Business Update
My initial plan had been to simply step back from chemical services during my pregnancy, but I ultimately decided to step away from doing hair altogether to be a stay-at-home mom, so I broke my lease at the salon. As it stands, I’m not currently doing hair and am unsure if I will return to it. Thank you all so, so much for supporting my business over the last few years. Getting to know you all was such a blessing, and I am incredibly grateful for my time behind the chair.
