Today I put theory into practice.
This week I studied Chapter 16, where we covered:
✂️ Horizontal lines
✂️ Hair density
✂️ Elevation and layering
✂️ Weight distribution
✂️ Sectioning and balance
✂️ Creating shape through haircutting
And today, I completed this haircut on my mannequin while applying everything I’ve been learning.
Is it perfect? Maybe not.
Am I proud? Absolutely.
As a licensed esthetician and educator, stepping into cosmetology has reminded me that growth requires humility, patience, and the willingness to be a beginner again. Every haircut, every chapter, and every mistake is bringing me one step closer to mastering another craft I love.
