A private, one-on-one salon experience focused on beautiful color, healthy hair, and results that truly work for you. Hello Loves!!!!

Changing your hair should NEVER be a scary experience! A great way to "try out" a different stylist is to book a shampoo & style! You'll meet the stylist, talk to them about your hair, what you love, don't love, etc., and begin building a trusted relationship – and there is NO commitment of a new cut or color until you’re ready! One of the most important--and often underrated--parts of your salon visit is the consultation you have with your stylist. Consultations are always FREE and I’m here to help in any way I can. I am an Aveda trained Hair Stylist at Accentrix Salon Davison and The Hair Gallery, Galax Va. I am also a licensed Instructor. While my expertise is in Color including dimensional coloring, all techniques of lightening and blonding in such a way that is the healthiest for the hair, and color correction, I also specialize in Precision Haircutting, Extensions, and Airbrush Make-up. I am passionate about the ability to make a difference in someone’s life by helping them feel good about themselves. I believe that my guests’ hair style should be just as unique as they are. I love a challenge and strongly believe in building a relationship with your clients. When someone knows your hair well, anything is possible. You can get "really good" anywhere, I strive to make it "perfect".

What are we doing!?!?!?!

Struggling with frizz while flat ironing? The secret is in your sections! Taking too big of sections means uneven heat and potential damage. Before you turn up the heat, look at how much hair you’re taking. Try smaller, thinner sections. You should be able to make a slow, steady pass without trying to squeeze a big chunk of hair between the plates. A few other things matter too, your hair needs to be completely dry, use heat protectant and shine serun , and don’t assume the highest temperature is the best setting for your hair.
Which gives you more trouble at home, getting your hair smooth or keeping it from looking flat?

Who else could just sit in my salon bathroom all day 🤭

Have a question about your hair? Is therr something you have been wanting to ask me?
Maybe your color fades faster than you’d like, you’re thinking about a different cut, or you have a shelf full of products and still don’t know what to use.
Ask away! Leave your question in the comments or send me a message if you’d rather ask privately.
These are the things we talk about in my chair all the time, and your question might help someone else, too.

Before choosing your dream red, ask yourself four questions!!
How often do I wash my hair?
How much heat do I use?
How often can I visit the salon?
Am I willing to use professional home care?
There is no wrong answer. But those answers help determine whether you’ll be happiest with a bold red, vivid copper, soft strawberry, or subtle copper dimension.
My job isn’t to talk you into the boldest shade. It’s to help you choose a color you can realistically maintain and still love six weeks after the appointment.

Only 4 left!

Let’s clear up one of the oldest haircolor myths! your hair does not need to be dirty for your color appointment. A little natural oil is completely fine, but several days of dry shampoo, root cover spray (Root cover sprays or powders can create a barrier that prevents the color from saturating fully. If you want those grays covered 100%, skip the root covers on the day of your visit), hairspray and oil can create enough buildup that I can’t properly see or feel what your hair is doing. It can also make clean sectioning and even application harder.
You don’t have to wash it immediately before you come, and please don’t scrub or scratch your scalp trying to get it extra clean. Just follow your normal wash routine and arrive with your hair reasonably clean and without a lot of product layered onto it.
Who else grew up hearing that dirty hair takes color better?

The moment right before you comb out the curls 🤍🤍

Apparently, to the scalp foils are making a comeback!
Funny thing is, I never stopped doing them!
Not every highlight needs a shadow root, root melt, or that lived in look.
Sometimes we just want beautiful, natural looking highlights that start right at the scalp. Brightness without chunky stripes, dimension without darkening the roots, and color that looks like it belongs in your hair.
The secret? Fine sections, and knowing your placement.
do you prefer your highlights bright right to the root, or do you like a softer, shadowed root?

Gray blending doesn't mean you have to go completely gray!
Let's talk about micro lights! These are super fine, strategically placed highlights that help soften the contrast between your natural gray and your existing color. Instead of seeing that harsh line of regrowth every few weeks, we're creating a softer, more natural transition. The goal isn't to cover every gray hair. It's to make those grays blend right in!
And here's the important part, Gray blending is a process, not always a one-appointment transformation, like this one. Placement, patience, and keeping your hair healthy make all the difference.
