If you come into your appointment with some sort of discoloration or darkness, understand your canvas is not blank. We must do something during the initial appointment to make your lips more even toned so that we can put color on top that will not heal funky or darkER.

My usual goal for the initial appointment is to make your lips more even in color so that the foundational base is more pink or even-tone so we can put “whatever” color on top without it affecting the healed results.

It is a process because touch ups can take 8-12 weeks between sessions and sometimes you’ll need an extra touch up or two depending on your desired color.

Those with darker lips or hyperpigmentation also require frequent and sooner touch ups over time as your hyperpigmentation never goes away, we’re just masking it. Although this is a case by case basis and truly depends on your natural anatomy and how you take care of your lips.

Lips and PMU in general are a 2 step process, especially with darker lips. Colors and how the brow are not guaranteed and depend heavily on how you take care of your lips and the tissue itself.
