You don’t need an hour or a perfect practice.
These are some of my favorite poses to move through daily to steady the body and mind.
This is the perfect sequence for waking up in the morning or an afternoon pick me up.
Breathe with every movement.
1-Cat and Cow- spinal movement
2-Walking Downdog-Inversion to support the heart. Walk out the feet to lengthen the hamstrings.
3-Low Lunge with a twist- Mobility for hips and spine. Supports blood flow to internal organs.
Kneeling Low Lunge- Psoas release
Half splits- Hamstrings
Sunflowers-My favorite for energy flow from the Root chakra to the Crown chakra.
Child’s Pose- This is my favorite go to pose to settle the mind. It’s also a beautiful hip opener.
Supported Fish Pose-These is an amazing pose of surrender and opening the Heart space. ❤️
What pose is calling to you?
Save this the next time you need some mindful movement.

This is the process of becoming a new creature.
Mindfulness practices like yoga, meditation, and foot zoning have created a change in me and continue to.
I’m not the same person I was 20 years ago when I began incorporating these practices and I continued to evolve.
These practices all draw me closer into a relationship with Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

July is my month to just be me! To have my own personal practice. To refuel. To vacation. To be with my family.
But I will be honest…I always miss teaching and zoning so much! I’ll be so ready when August comes.
See you then!

I could say SO MANY things about the beauty of connecting these two poses!
Here’s a few quick thoughts…
The connection of the divine feminine!
Grounding to the earth!
Reaching up to God!
Standing confidently in your column of light!
Aligning all the chakras!
Breathing in the breath of life!
A favorite yoga teacher of mine from years ago called these sunflowers! 🌻
I love that name for them! It makes me think of being both rooted into the earth as well as turning my whole self to the Sun…or the Son! 🤍☀️
I can’t do “Sunflowers” without feeling expansive energy and a grateful heart!

I’m actually a really big fan of using fascia release techniques to supplement my yoga practice.
The entire body is covered in fascia. It’s mostly made up of water. It gets bunched up, tight, and dehydrated.
Using foam rollers and massage balls, you can release and hydrate the fascia which will support you as you move through a yoga practice.
I love releasing the fascia on the feet because it’s actually a way to release fascia throughout the body.
Try it before your next yoga practice and see if you notice the difference.

Low back pain isn’t something you just have to accept as you get older.
Gentle daily movement helps keep your spinal discs hydrated — which means a happier, healthier back at any age.
Try these 4 poses for just 5 minutes a day:
-Cat/Cow
-Child’s Pose
-Kneeling Low Lunge
-Spinal Twist
Happy spine, happy life! 🙌🏻

If you lay down but can’t get comfortable, maybe you need to unwind some tension in the body first.
Here are my favorite, easy, in-bed stretches to help you fall asleep!
