We restocked today at Arcadia Farmer's Market General Store Edmond location NE 150th and Santa Fe before the 4th of July holiday🎆🧨

Did you know our Wild Violet Salve is perfect relief for insect bites specifically those pesky mosquitoes? If you swell after being bitten by those lovely insects this salve will be your friend! I apply it to my little and it either prevents her from swelling or reduces swelling if I didn't catch the bite before the swelling started.

We restocked this salve there today! We also dropped off these salves in Guthrie shops: Purely Foods Farm, Rustic Tease Boutique, and Willoby's Feed & Outfitters 💗🌻

This topic has been brought up alot lately and I have had several customers and clients either ask me some very good questions about skincare preservatives or thank me for not using any preservatives in my products🌻

It is so important to understand that while a product may be 100% natural it could have some very harmful dangerous preservatives in it.

Unfortunately regulation in the United States is not very strict and many skincare brands use preservatives that release formaldehyde 😳

I have even seen skincare brands marketed as Organic that use these formaldehyde releasing preservatives and the actual preservatives(formaldehyde releasing) themselves that are sold to add into skincare formulations marketed as organic as well.

As our skin is our largest organ we as consumers need to make sure we know what we are applying onto it, or onto our children's and babies skin. Not all products are created equal and there is a reason often times baby products, pregnant and nursing products are labeled specifically for them. There are certain herbs, essential oils and butters that shouldn't be used in the formulation of products marketed to babies, toddlers, pregnant and nursing mothers not to mention preservatives.

Unfortunately it can be confusing and you have to be somewhat of a detective as preservatives do not specifically state on the label that they release formaldehyde. We need better regulations for consumer safety🌻

Last day of competition for 4H shooting sports 🍀 We will be headed back to Oklahoma soon. Of course I had to take an interest in what local herbs were around..a different variety of plantain and of course we spotted one of our favorites..dandelions!💗🌻

🍀🌻This week is a week dedicated to 4H Competition and my kiddos🍀🌻
Some of you may know my kiddos and myself are very active in 4-H🍀 I am a Guthrie 4-H Leader and proud momma of two State 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassadors, one (my son) is also a National Ambassador. He was chosen to be an MC this evening for Opening Ceremonies at the National Shooting Sports competition.

It is amazing to attend one of these competitions..over 740 youth participated this year from 42 states. We have met competitors from as far as New York, Maryland and Washington 🍀🍀
