I’m way too available.

Somewhere along the way, being a hairstylist turned into being reachable ALL the time. Texts, DMs, calls, appointment questions… nights, weekends, days off. And because I care, I answer no matter what I’m doing.

But I’m learning that being good at what I do doesn’t mean I have to be available 24/7. I have a husband, family, friends, dogs and a whole life outside of the salon too.

So if I don’t answer right away, I promise I’m not ignoring you. Sometimes the reply can just wait. 🤍

I think more of us in this industry need to be okay with that.
