Clutch N Loc

“The thing that’s between YOU + Success is VULNERABILITY” … so I’m done holding back.

💜WHERE TF HAS CLUTCHNLOC BEEN ATTTT? Whew, since 2024 life has been doing ya girl in but what has transpired these last few months has really flipped my life & my family’s life into a complete 180.

💚 Bae & I Eloped.
💚 We went to the Jennifer Drew, EA | Advisory, Accounting & Tax Firm Owner Networking Experience which was in a BOX SUITE to see Usher + CB
💚I HAD NO AC IN MY SALON
💚…. And the biggest one of all, my son lives with his dad in Texas now.

💜 & this is just PART 1 there is more tea & loc videos coming for VLOGTOBER.

💛 If you enjoyed this recap you can check out the full video on my bio or comment “REAL”.

I’ll Just Put Something On While I Retwist…

✨but no matter how juicy the scene is those hand gotta keep moving because the client still has somewhere to be.

💜My clients know I love a good movie/ Tv Show ESPECIALLY if it is black & creates conversation & deeper thinking.

💚This is my 3rd time watching ‘Is God Is’ and each time I have a whole new perspective and a whole new outlook on their journey. To not give too many spoilers: Two twins are sent on a mission by their mother to make their daddy dead. The reason why they are burn victims is because the father set them on fire then continued on his life like nothing happened.

🤞🏾 Have you checked out ‘Is God Is’? Do you plan to?

I told my wife to quit her job so we could build this fr. 🤞🏾

✨We’ve had some major life changes that needed us to make hard decisions to move how we needed to. Nene quitting her job was one of them. Honestly it wasn’t THAT hard — it’s just scary entering territory you’ve never been in.

💜To put the plan in motion I had to get her a laptop so I could start teaching her how to edit.

Best Buy came in the CLUTCH (no sponsor… YET 👀). We walked in with a different laptop in mind, but once I explained what we needed it for, the associate put us on the LG Gram 15” touchscreen.

💙 She was ready to dive in immediately — but grandma’s birthday came first. Gift, flowers, then home. She finally got to set that thing up.

💛 Everybody sees the leap. Nobody sees the receipt, the errands, and the drive home in between.

Would you be surprised if I told you Nene edited 85% of this video? 👀

DeAnna & Kanisha I’d bet on you every time.

“I come [Get My Reties] Late on purpose because I calculated & I pay less” … WTF?!

A client said that to me OUT LOUD, so…

✨I created The ClutchNLoc®️ Overdue Retie Forumla.

💜 Not just to just stop guessing what to charge for an Overdue Retie, but to create a fair pricing calculation system to ensure:

1. The Loctician knows what to charge CONFIDENTLY

2. The Client recieves a fair price quote because they can SEE the math.

✨If you have ever looked at an overdue head & had no idea what to charge, you frequently have clients pushing back on your prices, or frequently come overdue ..

The ClutchNLoc®️ Overdue Retie Forumla Guide & Calculator is for you.

💜LINK IN BIO or “Guide” & I’ll DM it to you.

📍Now accepting new clients in - 757, VA & DFW, TX

The pro tip that will save your Loctician business more than any pricing strategy ever will

Lead your consultations with TRANSPARENCY!

• If there's a stress spot in their scalp - say it.
• If their hair type is going to challenge the maintenance schedule - say it.
• If something they told you during intake is going to affect their loc journey - SAY IT.
Then tell them how you're going to prevent it or correct it. As long as they does their part.

Because their loc journey might not be all glitter and rainbows, and they need to know that going in.

If you have Sisterlocks or Microlocs, this list is NON-NEGOTIABLE. 👇

When to braid and band:

✔️ Before you shampoo
✔️ Anytime you’re swimming (always with a swim cap)
✔️ ANY time you’re near water — even if you don’t plan to get in
✔️ Before any activity where steam might hit your scalp (long showers, sauna, hot workouts)

The five seconds it takes to braid and band is the difference between healthy locs and a $1,500 reinstall. I’ve seen it. Trust me. 💜

I had a client skip ONE of these rules back in 2019 and walk back into my salon four weeks later looking like Don King. Full storytime is up on my YouTube channel — search “ClutchNLoc” and you’ll find it.

Save this post. Share it with anyone you know who has Sisterlocks or Microlocs. And tell me in the comments — which one of these rules did nobody warn YOU about?
