I’ve had the honor of being Joselyn Best makeup artist for SEVERAL major music moments in her career. And because of that relationship, we became friends. We’ve watched the ebbs and flows of each other’s lives while growing and becoming the women we are today. Thank you, Jos, for having me be apart of this special moment, yet again. I pray that God continues to nurture, protect, and guide you and your family.

I look forward to this opportunity. Next Generation Storytellers and Hampton City Schools have a dynamic partnership that gives these film and production students real experience with creating real art from scripts, to casting, to becoming crew (sound, lights, handling equipment) ,
to directing. It’s amazing. And if they want- they can learn film and production makeup on set with VA Bridal TV Film MUA !!! 🎥🎬

Last weekend we celebrated my mother for receiving the President’s Service Award. At 82 she STILL serving the Buffalo community, fighting for equality, and being a voice for the voiceless. To be celebrated amongst your peers, village, and family is a blessing and made this moment very special. Love you, Mom.

Beautiful new client! Talk about ordered anointing! Saturday before Mother’s Day, my plans were set- shop for my Sunday dinner, assemble the fire pit, and hang out a little bit- but as I’m leaving Lowe’s I get a call…. The makeup artist fell through… someone said, check TMB Makeup…. I normally don’t take same day bookings…. But I wanted to help this beauty out, and I’m glad I did. Ms. Gailmarie was such a pleasure, every testimony of faith, sacrifice, and kingdom building was received! Just another Godly confirmation that I’m right where I’m supposed to be. May God continue to work through you to be a blessing to others. 💗

There was a time I thought my makeup journey had to look a certain way to “count.” More brides. More bookings. More visibility.

But purpose doesn’t follow trends, it follows calling.

My story started in theater… and what began as a creative outlet grew into something deeper. Makeup became ministry — a space where women could see their beauty, their power, and the greatness they carry into every room.

Over time, my path shifted. Some seasons slowed down… while others opened doors I once only dreamed about — film, production, mentoring, and IMDb credits that came from simply staying ready.

And if I’ve learned anything, it’s this:
What is meant for you will find you.

Nothing was wasted. Every experience prepared me for the next.

I’m just grateful — for the journey, the evolution, and the timing.

God knew when I’d be ready. 🎬💜✨

Motherhood isn’t always wrapped in ease… sometimes it’s wrapped in sacrifice, tough decisions, and quiet strength.

Today, I want to honor the women who mother in ways the world doesn’t always see.

To the mothers who had to make hard choices so their children could have a better life…
