UTAH DESIGNER KTIP EXTENSIONS
Keratin Bond Extensions
Owner of Madison Avenue Salon
SLC, UT

What if everything you wish you knew about K-tips… was finally in one place? 👀

The sourcing. The hair. The bonds. The density matching. The tiny details that make an install look expensive instead of obvious. The things I had to learn through years of trial, error, testing, refining + doing things differently.

I’ve been working behind the scenes on something for the stylist who doesn’t just want to offer K-tips — she wants to understand them.

How to customize them. How to troubleshoot them. How to create results that actually set her work apart.

And let’s just say… you won’t have to come sit in my classroom to learn it. 🤫

That’s your next hint.

Comment K-TIPS if you want to be the first to know what’s coming. 👀

The finer your hair, the more customized your extensions need to be. 🤍

Fine, low-density hair simply can’t support extensions the same way thicker, denser hair can—which means the details matter even more.

At Madison Avenue, we handmake every K-tip bond so we can customize the size, weight, density and amount of hair based on exactly where that bond is being placed. In more delicate areas, that can mean creating tiny micro bonds that blend seamlessly without adding unnecessary weight.

Because the goal isn’t just beautiful extensions—it’s adding the fullness you want while being mindful of the natural hair supporting them. ✨

If you have fine hair and have wondered whether extensions could actually work for you, comment “FINE” and we’ll send you more information about our customized extension options. 🤍

One whole year of Madison Avenue. 🥹🎂💗

It’s kind of crazy to think that a little over a year ago, this was all still just an idea I had poured way too many hours, decisions, late nights, nerves, and way too many tears into.

And now it’s a real place. A place where people come to feel beautiful, where careers are growing, where friendships have been made, where we laugh way too loud, learn a lot, make mistakes, celebrate wins, and somehow always have approximately 47 drinks sitting on the counter. 😂

This first year hasn’t been perfect — and I don’t think building something you really care about ever is. There have been growing pains, lessons I definitely had to learn the hard way, moments I questioned myself, and plenty of days where owning a salon felt a lot less glamorous than you envision when you dream of opening your own business.

But there have also been so many moments where I’ve looked around and thought, I can’t believe this is ours and I cannot believe how far we’ve come & how fast we’ve grown 🙌🏻

Madison Avenue has become so much more than the pretty salon I pictured in my head. It’s the people inside of it.

To our team: thank you for believing in this place, bringing your own magic into it, and helping shape what Madison Avenue is becoming.

And to every single person who has sat in one of our chairs, recommended us to a friend, shared a post, left a review, taken a class, attended an event, or supported us in any way — you are quite literally the reason we get to keep doing this.

One year down, and somehow I feel like we’re only getting started. 🥹

Happy 1st birthday, Madison Avenue. 🎀
I’m really, really proud of you. 🤍

We’re growing our extension department 🤍 and looking for a part-time Bond Maker to join the Madison Avenue team!

This is a unique, flexible position for someone who loves the beauty industry, working with their hands, and the tiny details that make a BIG difference.

Our Bond Maker will be fully trained in our process for creating custom keratin bonds for K-tip extensions. You’ll work with extension hair to create customized color blends, match density, hand-make bonds, and help re-tip extension hair for maintenance appointments.

This is a project-based position rather than a set weekly schedule. The amount of work available is based entirely on salon volume and our upcoming extension appointments, so workload will vary from week to week. Some weeks may have several projects available, while others may be lighter.

A lot of the work can be completed on your own time, making this a great opportunity to work around school, another job, or your existing salon schedule.

Projects are paid per completed set, ranging from $75–$150 per project, so as you become faster and more efficient while maintaining quality, your earning potential per hour increases.

There will also be opportunities to work in the salon helping with real-time re-tipping during maintenance appointments.

This could be SUCH a good fit if you’re:
• A cosmetology student or newer stylist wanting more hands-on experience with extensions
• Already in the beauty industry and looking for flexible extra income
• Artistic, detail-oriented + good with your hands
• Organized, reliable and a strong communicator
• Patient enough to care about the little details
• Looking for something that can fit around another job, school or salon schedule

Beauty industry experience is preferred, but we’ll teach you our specific bond-making process and standards.

If you’ve been wanting to learn more about K-tip extensions, build your skill set, and make some extra money with a flexible beauty-industry position, we’d love to hear from you. 🎀

DM us your resume or email it to [email protected] to apply.

Maybe you don’t want fake-looking, longer hair. Maybe you just miss having more of it. 🤍

For so many women, hair naturally becomes finer and less dense over time. Hormones, stress, pregnancy, aging and just life can all change the hair you once had.

And while it might be common, that doesn’t mean you have to just accept it.

Extensions don’t have to mean adding 20 inches or looking like you’re wearing extensions. Sometimes, they’re simply about giving you back the density you miss—the fuller ends, the thicker ponytail, the hair around your face, the ability to actually hold a style.

When extensions are customized to your natural density, texture, color and lifestyle, they can be incredibly natural-looking, comfortable and low-maintenance.

Because sometimes you don’t want completely different hair.

You just want to feel like you with really good hair again. 🎀

Comment “FULL” and we’ll send you the details to book an extension consultation. 💌

✨ You don’t always need a full head of extensions to completely change your hair.

One of the biggest insecurities I hear from women is, “The front of my hair just won’t grow.” Whether it’s from postpartum, breakage, naturally fine hair, or years of heat styling, those shorter, thinner pieces around your face can make the rest of your hair feel less full—even if the back is long.

The good news? You don’t have to add a full head of extensions to make a huge difference.

By strategically adding just a few custom extensions around the face, we can match the length and density of the rest of your hair, creating a fuller, more balanced look that blends seamlessly into your natural hair. It’s subtle, incredibly natural, and one of my favorite transformations because the confidence it gives is so immediate.

Sometimes it’s not about more hair… it’s about putting the right hair in the right places. 🤍

If you’ve ever caught yourself pulling the front pieces forward and wishing they looked fuller or longer, this service was made for you.

Comment “FACE” or send us a DM, and let’s see if a custom face-framing extension transformation is the perfect fit for you. ✨

✨ The best extension artists don’t just follow a plan… they know how to pivot.

We had already sourced this client’s dream Slavic hair because her texture, color, and desired length are incredibly unique, but…... I didn’t realize we were doing a brand-new extension installation at this particular appointment, so I had to pivot and handcraft every single keratin bond in real time during her service 😅 was I happy to do it? ABSOLUTELY!

I customized each bond specifically to her density, texture, and placement, creating an install that was truly made just for her. It took a little extra work, but I wanted her to leave with hair she was absolutely obsessed with—and that’s exactly what happened.

This is one of the reasons I love custom K-tip extensions so much. You’re not limited by pre-made hair—you have the freedom to create exactly what your client needs.

And for my textured hair girlies… yes, you can absolutely have long, seamless, mermaid hair when your extensions are designed specifically for you.

✨ If you’re a stylist who’s ready to stop relying on one-size-fits-all extension systems and learn how to create fully customized transformations like this, you’re in the right place. Follow along for more education, or send me a DM if you’re ready to elevate your extension artistry.
