Before I mix anything, I already know what I am doing to your head. All of it. Where I am starting,
where we are going, what order it happens in, what is waiting on what. There is no moment where I am standing behind you thinking about what to do next.
That is where the hours go. Not in the work. In the deciding. A stylist figuring it out as she goes will
take four hours to do two and a half hours of work, and she will not even feel it happening.
I made those decisions before I picked up a brush, so the appointment is just ex*****on. That took me
years, and it took getting some things wrong first. That is where the knowing comes from.

Nineteen years and I have never seen a bottle mend a split end.

We had to say goodbye to our Biggie this evening. He was our mascot, our beating heart. We needed Biggie as much as he needed us. He was there when kids were afraid of their haircut, he was there when our clients just needed to pet him or smile at him when they came in. It will be so different without him. We will miss Biggie so much and I know you all will, too. o.d.a.curls thank you for sharing your joy with us, we will always remember him with so much love. RIP, Biggie Smalls. You were everything.
