After 19 years behind the chair, I’m opening my own salon studio.

Galeno Cotton Hair Studio is officially coming soon.

This wasn’t something I ever imagined for myself, but over time the idea of creating a space that feels personal, peaceful, and completely my own started to feel like the right next chapter.

My time at my previous salon has now come to an end a little sooner than expected, so while I finish preparing the new studio, I’ll be offering a limited number of house-call appointments for clients who need me in the meantime.

Tonight took the whole crew to Morton’s Steakhouse for our annual company dinner.

Team members from Greenway Plaza, the original Midtown location, the only Aveda Barbershop in Houston, and our partnership at the Thompson Hotel all together in one place.

So grateful to work with such a talented crew… and a boss who knows how to celebrate his team right. 🥩✨

You know you’re at the right job when you’re treated like family! Tonight my boss, his wife and coworkers celebrated our engagement with us! I don’t know who your boss is, but my boss will always be better than yours! 🤪 thank you we are very blessed by you!

Yesterday, I took a well-deserved break from the salon to attend the Texans game for a very special reason!

As some of you may know, I'm a proud sponsor and running guide for .htx. Bee Abled is an amazing nonprofit empowering athletes with disabilities to crush their fitness goals.

Yesterday, the incredible Executive Director, Gloria Suarez, received the prestigious 2025 Campeón de la Comunidad Award, along with a $25,000 grant for Bee Abled!!!

My heart is overflowing with joy seeing them receive this well-deserved recognition!

I’m Jackie, your hair artist. I’ve been a cosmetologist for almost 18 years! I’ve been working for the best 5 years of my career. I specialize in cuts and color. I love my career to the point that I accept appointments as early as 6am! I’m a runner, a Tia and I’m also a single mother of two beautiful girl poodles Cindy 15 and PJ 14. They are the fuel that gets me to work everyday. Thank you .isabel for babysitting my girls so I can focus on my career.
