Backstreet’s back, alright!

My first real outing since surgery at almost 8 weeks post thigh lift. It was better than I thought it would go but still very tiring and without compression for 8 hours - pretty uncomfortable.

What I love about this day:

My vibes - I went all out with silver pants and glitter in my hair. This is NOT the Kate you’d meet during BSB prime, but this version of my is freaking amazing! I love her so much and love treating my inner child to a little bit of chaos.

My fit - I would have NEVER works these pants because the would have unapologetically expose my biggest insecurities. But here we are - silver pants size Large that fits exactly as it should (except for length haha coz I’m 6’ tall).

My company - Xander is always by my side, always my biggest cheerleader and support. I can also put my legs on top of him when needed to elevate my calves haha so nice!

What I didn’t enjoy is swelling to the max, I was very uncomfortable by the end of the night and we left promptly after and skipped the after party. I couldn’t wait to get home and put on my compression garment and socks on top. My calves were 4x the size from all the sitting and standing for 8 hours. The further the swelling has to travel from the heart the longer it takes to stop happening, after last surgery it was at least 5 months. So we shall see how this goes !

Wow I didn’t know that driving will be such a struggle. I’m tall so I had to adjust my seat almost all the way back to allow my legs not to bend as much, and that resulted in my own inability to reach the steering wheel 🥲 how fun is that?

3 whole years! The longest I’ve ever maintained any weight loss!

Genuinely feeling proud of how far I’ve come and the life I’m building (once I figure out what’s going on post-op haha).

What a year it was, 2 skin removal surgeries, starting Tirz, dropping into 170s (lowest weight recorded in my adult life) just to name a few.

This year, as every year, Xan took me out to a restaurant to celebrate, belly and heart are completely full. I enjoy the balance this process has taught me and the lesson that food CAN be enjoyed and there IS such thing as moderation.

The hardest thing I’ve ever done!

If thigh lift were to be my first surgery I probably would not have done another one in a while.

Counting my blessings! Looking back at NYE of the past 5 years and the change that has happened outside but more importantly inside. 2021 was the year I hit my highest weight and began to wonder how I could change my life, in 2022 I I booked ESG, 2023 I had ESG, 2024 I maintained and research plastics, 2025 my physical transformation took a much radical turn with 2 plastic surgeries 7 months apart.

Although I’m still in recovery from thigh lift that will last through at least first month of the new year, 2026 is already looking exciting and I can’t wait to see what it brings!
