Sometimes the most ethical thing a provider can tell you is “No.” 🚫

This was one of the points I shared during my talk Science of Skin Summit , and it’s something I believe strongly in.

Clinical judgment matters more than how many treatments we can stack into one visit. Before moving forward, I’m looking at the health of the skin, the barrier, inflammation, healing capacity, and whether the client is truly ready for corrective treatment.

Skin should be prepped for treatment first. Sometimes treatments need to be separated. Sometimes the safest answer is to wait.

That is not holding someone back from results. It is protecting the skin so we can get there safely and with better outcomes.

To clients, find a provider who is willing to say no when your skins best interests at heart.💟

To providers, do not rush the process just because you want to make a quick dollar. Prep well, respect the skin in front of you, and trust your clinical judgment.

The goal is not to treat faster. The goal is to treat smarter, safer, and with healthy skin intact.

I had the BEST time this weekend at Aesthetic Next | Medical Aesthetics Conference 8.0! 🤩✨

It was a weekend full of learning, new friendships, inspiration, and so many great memories. I’ve wanted to attend this conference for years, but my schedule never seemed to line up, so finally getting to experience it was such a treat.

What made it even more special was being invited to attend as faculty. I still remember being a baby esthetician sitting in the audience at conferences, taking notes, looking up to the speakers onstage, and wondering what it would feel like to be up there one day. Getting to take that stage not once, but three times, felt incredibly full-circle and honestly a little surreal. 🥹

I’m so grateful for every opportunity that has stretched me, challenged me, and helped me grow into the educator and provider I am today.

Huge thank you to Tiphany Hall and the entire Aesthetic Next team. You can feel how much heart, intention, and work goes into creating this meeting. I’m so grateful I finally got to be part of it. I’m already looking forward to the next one!🤍

Sometimes I look back at the photo of me standing in that tiny 97 sq. ft. salon suite, holding that key. 🔑

I can still remember exactly how exciting yet uncertain everything felt. 🥹

I had no idea where this journey would lead. I just knew I believed in myself enough to give it a try.

Three and a half years later, I’m standing inside a 1,600 sq. ft. office I once only imagined, surrounded by a team of women I’m incredibly proud of, serving clients I care deeply about, and building something that has become so much bigger than that first little room. 🤍

This journey has stretched me in every possible way. It has asked for sacrifice, long hours, missed time with people I love, constant learning, and the willingness to keep showing up even on the days when owning a business feels anything but glamorous.🫠

I’ve been challenged. I’ve been humbled. I’ve had to trust myself, sharpen my skills, make hard decisions, and keep raising the standard for what I believe True Skin Aesthetics can become.

I still don’t feel finished.

I’m always learning, always looking for better treatments, better products, better techniques, and better ways to care for the people who trust us with their skin. I’m building a team that shares that same commitment and creating an office where clients feel genuinely cared for from the moment they walk in.

A grateful heart doesn’t even begin to cover it.
