✂️ A Chapter Complete. A New One Beginning. ✂️

After 32 beautiful, creative, soul-filling years, I have hung up my sheers and have officially retired from the beauty industry and closed the doors of my salon.

This career chose me as much as I chose it. Hair was never just a job it was my art, my language, my way of showing love to every single person who sat in my chair. From my very first client to my last, you trusted me with something incredibly personal, and I never took that lightly. Not once.

To my clients .. thank you. Thank you for your loyalty, your laughter, your stories, and your trust. Watching you walk out feeling like the best version of yourself was the greatest reward I could have asked for. I am so deeply grateful for every single one of you.

And to the new generation of stylists coming up this industry is yours now. Protect your artistry, pour into your clients, and never stop growing. The chair is sacred. Honor it.

And now? I feel complete. This chapter doesn’t end in loss; it ends in gratitude and fullness. And I’m answering a new calling stepping into the world of personal training and fitness, ready to serve, inspire, and show up in a whole new way.
32 years. Countless lives touched. Infinite memories made.
Here’s to what’s next. 🥂

💈 Wishing all my clients all the best with your new stylist you deserve someone who will love on you the way I did.

Hello valued clients,

I wanted to share an important update with you personally. In April, I’ll be moving out of state and will be stepping away from doing hair as I begin a new chapter in my life.

This wasn’t an easy decision. Being your stylist has meant more to me than I can fully express. Thank you for trusting me, for the conversations, the laughter, the quiet moments, and for allowing me to be part of your life over the years. It has truly been an honor.

My last available appointments will be March 28th. If you like, I’m happy to recommend talented stylists I trust, and I’m more than willing to share notes and formulas to help make your transition seamless.

I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships I’ve built through this work, and I’ll carry them with me as I move forward. Thank you for your support, kindness, and loyalty. It has meant everything.

Wishing you nothing but the best always.

With gratitude,
Trey Johnson

So sad. She did live prosperous long colorful life of style and fashion! I hope to be like her when I grow up! RIP Iris Apfel. 💗

A little pink? A lot pink? Or split pink? Pastel pink split dye for my guest! Depending on which way she parts her hair she can create different looks. Pastel’s typically last a week or two depending on the after care. They can be great way to add a little
temporary spice to your hair color! 💘💘💘

Viva la revolución! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌈🌈🌈😆😆

? Should they have just let her work with her pink hair… ?

Emily Benschoter has taken malicious compliance to the next level after she was told she wasn't allowed to have pink hair for her job.

Emily found out her workplace had a bit of an issue with the fact she had pink hair after she got the job without an in-person or video interview.

She revealed on TikTok that she told bosses about her hair color before starting her front-of-house role in the hospitality interview and found out that having pink hair was a big no-no for them.

Instead of dying her hair - or looking for another job - Emily decided that she would wear wigs in natural hair colors each day to comply with the dress code.

The 29-year-old would not only wear natural-colored wigs, but would ensure that they were pretty terrible wigs to boot, meaning far more attention was drawn to the state of her hair than it ever would have been had she been allowed to rock her real hair in all its pink glory.

This is fun! I really enjoy doing this! My guest sews her own clothes. Occasionally, she does public speaking and will create a dress for the event. My guest brought in a swatch of fabric for me to create a color scheme for her hair. I get complete creative direction on what we come up with. I’m absolutely in love with this color! 😍😍🤌🏼❤️‍🔥
