My client embraced her gray hair once it became too much maintenance to keep covering it, and honestly, I think she may have inspired me to do the same.

Instead of a full gray coverage, we chose a demi-permanent color to softly blend her grays and tone them into a deeper silver gray. This is lower maintenance, softer grow out lines, and a color that works with the gray instead of constantly fighting against it.

Aging isn’t the problem, finding a way to wear it confidently is. ❤️

A few soft highlights and fresh long layers before baby arrives. Sometimes the smallest change can make you feel radiant, refreshed, and a little more like yourself again.

No bleach needed, just high lift color for a softer, brighter look with dimension and keep the integrity and shine of her natural hair.

My client came in with subtle dimensional highlights and wanted to switch it up with a red balayage + black roots.

Our goal was to get her to a level 6, so I went in with HD-RV + 40 vol since the rest of her hair was virgin, and it lifted beautifully. Even though the lift was clean, I still toned with 6RV + 5VV to even everything out and create that rich plum red she was envisioning.

Let’s talk about the panic moment.
When I was rinsing her color out, that deep red on wet hair looked SO dark (refer to second photo). I had to remind myself that level 6 always looks way darker when wet and to trust the process.

I even dried a small section first just in case I needed to redo it, but once it dried, it came out exactly how I wanted. (Phew)

These are the moments that humble you real quick and make you question everything for a second 😂 but also remind you why you love what you do.

Client came in after a 9 hour full foil elsewhere with no blend or tone, and needed a fix fast before her date tonight.

Her hair was light enough so I did a reverse balayage - added lowlights for depth, did a soft root tap, and toned her blonde for a seamless, natural finish.

This was her first time getting her hair professionally colored, so I don’t fault her at all, but this is your reminder to always do your research.
