People often expect dramatic changes after a session, but a tummy tuck is different.

The body has already been surgically sculpted. The tissue is tighter, and everything is a little more "held together" than someone who hasn't had abdominal surgery.

Think about it like this:

If you're wearing a loose sweatshirt, there's a lot of give.

If you're wearing a fitted compression garment, there's a lot less.

That's kind of how tummy tuck tissue can feel.

Different doesn't mean nothing is happening.

It just means the body may respond differently.

Sometimes the biggest changes aren't dramatic before-and-afters.

Sometimes it's feeling less tight.
Less restricted.
More comfortable in your body. 🀍

Me: I teach Pilates and lift weights. πŸ’ͺ🏽

My hips during yoga: absolutely not. 😌

If you look closely, you can actually see the exact moment I started questioning all of my life choices. 😭 Listen it went for zero to 1,000 real quick 😬😳🀣🀣🀣🀣 Inga Seals πŸƒπŸ„ Yoga | Reiki | Retreats

the tiny Pilates ball looks harmless.
it is not. 😭

it weighs nothing. it exposes everything. your inner thighs, your stabilizers, your core… all being called out in real time by a tiny inflatable ball πŸ’€

we are so in our villain era with this one.
comment "BALL" and i'll DM you the full breakdown πŸŽ€

One thing Pilates taught me?

A lot of us are using momentum πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

Like no shade because I GET IT. (I used too)

But sometimes the slower you move, the harder the exercise actually gets because your muscles finally have time to engage.

More time under tension.
More core activation.
More control.

Suddenly your core is fighting for its life.
Your stabilizers wake up.
And you realize the movement was never β€œeasy”…
you were just speeding through it or not sitting in proper form πŸ’€

And honestly? Proper setup matters too.

Hip placement.
Core engagement.
Learning how to properly hold and control the movement πŸ‘€

Especially if your goal is to actually change your body.

Because when you slow a movement down, your muscles actually have to STAY engaged instead of just flying through the rep 😭

More tension.
Less momentum.
More control.

Sometimes it’s not about making the workout harder…
it’s about creating more tension and intention within the movement.
