Mixing pigment lines can work, but only if you understand how those pigments are formulated. If you don’t know what’s inside the bottle, you can end up with discoloration, unexpected healing, or results you didn’t plan for. 😬

Here’s what matters 👇🏾

🧪 Know your pigment formulation
Are they organic or inorganic pigments? Different formulations can behave very differently when mixed.

🔬 Understand the components
If the pigments are formulated similarly, mixing can be safe and predictable.

📚 Learn your CI numbers
CI numbers tell you the chemical makeup of the pigment. Once you understand those compounds, you’ll know much more about how pigments will interact.

If your string rolls, this is for you 👇🏾

The trickiest part of mapping is always getting the second brow to match the first. But these tips should help.

1️⃣ Create a X in the center of the face. The top line of the brow and the bottom line or the brow should perfectly align with that X.

2️⃣ If your string rolls, make sure it’s taut, but also make sure you work in small sections. I usually create 3 mini lines that connect as one big line. Don’t try to create one line in one go.

3️⃣ Break the brow up into sections. See it as the body, the arch and the tail. Start with the body of the brow, make sure it’s even and is the same thickness as the prev brow before moving on to creating the arch and tail. Take each section one at a time.
