Being able to make a lei from my own garden and give it to her brings me so much joy.

The birthday party was originally supposed to be at the beach, but because of storm Lala, her parents had to move it to their house last minute. Even though the weather was pretty unstable during the party, it didn't stop everyone from celebrating and just enjoying being together in the moment.

Thank you to the K**a for putting everything together, the food, the activities, and all the birthday highlights became so meaningful because we were all gathered there.

祝福的Lei 可以從自家出產、製作再送出著實讓人滿足。
原本會辦在海邊的生日派對因為Lala 颱風的來訪，不得已讓壽星的父母轉移陣地到自家，雖然派對中的天氣不穩定，但依然沒有影響大家一同慶祝，一起享受當下的同在。
謝謝K**a Ohana為所有人準備的一切，有美食、活動，所有的慶生環節都因為大家相聚在一起而變的有意義，並沒有因為更改場地而影響。

Huge thanks to Ashley for inviting us to Keala’s 1st birthday party! The view of beautiful Waikiki beach right outside the restaurant was stunning. Inside, there was a great buffet setup, Ono food, live music, face painting, and balloon animals, the vibe was so fun and lively!

It was also so wonderful catching up with familiar faces and meeting guests who traveled from afar to celebrate this special milestone together.

Watching the sweet family gather around, everyone singing happy birthday, and blowing out the candles truly touched my heart.
Growing up surrounded by so much parental love is the greatest blessing for a child.

Every birthday party I go to has its own unique way of celebrating, but the one thing that never changes is the unconditional love and dedication parents have for their kids.

謝謝 Ashley 的邀請，讓我們全家能一起參加 Keala 1 歲的生日派對！從餐廳往外望去就是美麗的 Waikiki 海岸，店內準備了豐富的自助式圓桌餐點，現場還有歌手演唱、兒童臉部彩繪和造型氣球，氣氛非常熱鬧。

在現場也見到了許多熟識的朋友和遠道而來的賓客，大家一起慶祝這特別的時刻。當我看著他們一家人被生日快樂歌圍繞、一起吹熄蛋糕上的蠟燭時，心裡真的很感動。孩子能在父母的愛里健康長大，真的是一件無比幸福的事。

每一次參加不同的生日派對，都能體驗到不一樣的慶祝方式，但唯一不變的，永遠是感受到父母對孩子滿滿的愛與付出。

Watching this video brings me right back to mid-July when I was invited to a 3rd birthday party. It really made me look back on the days when we used to take classes and do activities together at the farm school.
Time flies so fast. They‘ve moved away, and the school is no longer at the farm, but those beautiful memories will always stay with me.

This invitation gave me the perfect chance to catch up with them and other families to celebrate together. I even got to sit in the backyard, enjoy the sunset, and capture these beautiful moments.

七月中受邀參加一場3歲的生日派對，看著這影片，把我拉回了當天的行程，也讓我回想起了在農場學校一起上課、活動的場景。
時間過得好快，他們搬家，學校也不在農場，唯一存在的是那些美好的過往。
這次的邀約，讓我可以再跟他們還有其他家庭一同相處，共同慶生。還有機會坐在後院，欣賞著夕陽和記錄下美好的時刻，謝謝你我的朋友。👑🥰

The typhoon has passed, leaving behind a lot of damage and power outages. But to keep life moving forward, everyone is working hard to clean up and rebuild. Huge thanks to everyone who stayed out in the storm to keep the rest of us safe!

I’m so grateful for modern technology, which let my friends and me check in on each other and share words of encouragement. As an outsider to this island, being able to find true friendship and care here really warms my heart.

When I went out to collect mulch from the fallen trees. A volunteer came over to help, and in the end, a unko even offered to haul the wood chips right to my driveway, saving me so much time and energy.🙏🙏

These little acts of kindness, which probably seemed like no big deal to them, showed me that love is still alive and well in this world. Having received so much care and help myself, I’m learning to embrace this sweetness and pass the love forward.💕

颱風走了，留下土地的災害與停電的狀態。但為了生活，每個人都在努力修復這片土地。謝謝所有在風雨中守護大家安全的人！
謝謝發達的科技，讓我和朋友們還能互道平安、彼此打氣。身為這片島嶼的外來者，能收穫真摯的友誼與關懷，真的倍感溫馨。
當我去收集倒塌路樹的木屑，有義工前來幫忙，最後開推土機的叔叔還主動幫我把木屑運回家門前，省了好多力氣。這些看似微不足道的舉動，都讓我看見愛一直在世上延續。因為被關心幫助過，我也學習帶著這份甜美，繼續把愛傳遞出去。💕

🚊 Holoholo

My kids washed the dishes by themselves after having their favorite dumplings 🥟! Since Dad was out, I stepped out of my comfort zone (I’m usually such a homebody 🤭) and took them on a mini adventure.

We took the Skyline from Keoneʻae (UH West Oʻahu ) to Hālawa (Aloha Stadium ) and back. It cost $8.50 total for two new cards, plus my fare and Zion’s. (FYI: Under 6 is free, but if your kid is older, they need a card. The machines only sell adult options, so you have to load it with $3 just like an adult, or it won’t scan !)

We’re so used to public transit in Taiwan, but since we always drive here, this was a rare treat for the kids. It’s crazy how such a budget-friendly trip can bring so much happiness.
Also, a kind lady gave the kids a new box of chocolates right before our stop. What a sweet ending to our adventure!🍫

孩子們滿足地吃完最愛的小煎餃🥟，今天竟然主動包辦了洗碗家務！趁著爸爸不在家的傍晚，平常超宅的我🤭，決定帶他們來一場久違的城市大探險。
我們跑到西岸搭 Skyline 輕軌，從第二站坐到 Aloha Stadium 來回。兩張新卡加上一大一小的車資總共 $8.5。
⚠️ 小筆記：6 歲以下免費，但超過 6 歲就必須購卡。因為購票機沒有兒童票選項，新卡一定要直接加值成人的 $3 塊錢，否則進站閘門刷不過去！（但它有兒童票$1.5的選項🤷🏽‍♀️)
在臺灣習以為常的大眾運輸，在這邊因為開車，反而成了孩子眼中的新鮮體驗。用少少的花費換來孩子大大的快樂，真的太值得了！
最溫暖的是，快下車前還遇到一位阿姨，送給孩子們一盒新的巧克力🍫。
這份意外的禮物，讓我們的冒險之旅變得加倍甜蜜！❤️

My time growing alongside my kids at this school has officially come to a close as she moves on to a new preschool. I have so much gratitude in my heart for everyone who works so hard for this incredible organization.

Raising children is truly no easy feat. But because of this beautiful little sanctuary, I was able to connect with new families, hear different life stories, and learn how to relate with other parents and kids. It completely broadened my perspective and helped me grow.
Most importantly, during class time, I didn‘t have to be distracted by endless chores. I got to focus entirely on having high-quality time with my child, all while learning and growing in the Hawaiian language.

On top of that, the Mākua talk circle time led by the teachers, along with the shared experiences among us parents, made this parenting journey feel so much less lonely. We always had each other’s support and encouragement.

Meanwhile, in the other classroom, the teachers showed so much patience with the kids who felt a bit insecure being away from their parents. They guided them, ate with them, and knew exactly how to soothe and calm them down.

You all might feel like this is just your day-to-day job description, but to us, it provided a much-needed breathing room and a chance to recharge. I am boundlessly grateful.

As we move to our next chapter, I wish all of us the very best as we continue to move forward and grow together.

我跟孩子們一起在學校成長的時光隨著她上另一家幼稚園而在這劃上一個句點。我有好多的感謝想跟為這個機構努力的工作者說聲感謝。
撫養孩子著實不容易，因為這片小天地，讓我認識新的家庭，聽到不同的人生故事，學習跟不同的父母和孩子相處，也讓我的想法與眼界改變與提升。最主要的是在上課期間，我可以不用為雜事分心，而專心的與孩子有高品質的相處時間以及夏威夷文的成長。
不只這樣，中間的家長時間，有老師的帶領學習，還有家長們相互分享，讓育兒不會寂寞，有大夥的支持與鼓勵。

在另外一間教室，其他老師們有耐心的陪伴因為家長不在身邊而感到失去安全感的孩子，帶領及陪伴他們學習、吃飯、穩定心情。
可能你們覺得這是分內的工作職責，但對我們確是大大的喘氣及充電時間，心中有無限的感恩與感謝，隨著下一篇章節即將啟程，祝願我們都在成長的路上一起前進，謝謝你們這個大家庭。

Spotting these lychees at Costco brought back memories of the lychee orchard in Dashu, Kaohsiung. I've eaten lychees all my life in Taiwan, but that was the only time I ever got to try them fresh off the tree.

Shoutout to my amazing mom for being the star of this video. It’s so special looking back at the great times we shared traveling Taiwan together.

When you live there, days just pass by casually. But it’s only after leaving your homeland and coming back for a visit that you realize how many places you’ve never actually explored or experienced, making the whole journey feel incredibly precious. 💕

看到好市多的荔枝，讓我想起回臺灣🇹🇼在高雄縣大樹鄉走訪的荔枝園，生長在臺灣每年都會吃到新鮮的荔枝，但唯有這一次是吃到樹上現摘的。

謝謝我的媽媽當我的模特兒，才有這影片的誕生，也藉由這影片，回想起我們一同臺灣旅遊的好時光。

當生長在這片土地的時侯，日子就是平凡渡過，唯有離開故土再回訪時，才會發現原來還有好多的地方是從未造訪，變得格外珍惜。🤭
