Jewel City Salon

This will be our fifth year collecting and matching food donations for the Facing Hunger Food Bank. This year is especially meaningful to me because I’d like to donate everything in honor of my mother, Pamela Havens McComas.

My mom was part of our food drive every year. Whether she was collecting donations, shopping for food, or helping match what we had collected, she was always willing to lend a hand. She was a special woman with a big heart, and helping others was simply who she was.

I’d like to make this an annual tradition in her name because it represents something she always believed in: putting others before yourself.

We’re asking our friends, clients, and community to help us continue giving back. Any nonperishable food items can be dropped off at Jewel City Barber Shop or Jewel City Salon at 1141 and 1145 4th Avenue through Saturday, November 21st.

Let’s come together to help families in our community this Thanksgiving while celebrating the life of a kind, generous, and selfless woman who was taken from us far too soon.

Today we celebrate our fabulous ✨Falon ✨ and her one year anniversary here at Jewel City Salon! Falon brings so much to our team especially her positive and calming energy. Thank you fally.foo for an amazing year and here’s to many beautiful ones to come! 🎉💇‍♀️

What a difference five years can make.

When we first started building Jewel City Salon, I never could have imagined this empty space would become what it is today. We built the salon, but the wonderful women who work here truly made it their own. They brought the warmth, personality, creativity and life that turned these walls into something special.

Thank you to our community for supporting us, to every client who has walked through our doors and most of all, to the incredible women who have helped make Jewel City Salon what it is today. I’m proud of how far this place has come and grateful for everyone who has been part of it.

Here’s to many more years of serving our community together. Speaking of the people who make this place so special, we currently have a booth available for rent. If you’d like to join our team and help us continue serving our community, we’d love to hear from you.
