You DO get gains from no pain! 💪🏻

Here's why:

I have had a lot of clients tell me "no pain, no gain", "it's not working if it doesn't hurt", etc. But the truth is, massage shouldn't hurt. If your massage hurts, you are tensing the muscle, which does the opposite of relaxing the tissue. You also risk muscle bruising and increasing your stress hormones: cortisol, epinephrine (adrenaline), and norepinephrine.

As long as it "hurts so good" and you are breathing, you are fine. Your body can relax and heal, but the moment it's too much and your muscles fight back, you're prohibiting your progress. Melting the muscles to work towards deeper, firmer pressure is much more beneficial and brings real results, just sometimes also requires a little more patience.

Remember, that knot didn't happen over night and it's not going away in one session ♥️

✨ Pricing & Package Update Effective January 1 ✨

Starting January 1st, there will be a small $5 increase to all services. With the rise in overall business expenses and day-to-day costs, this adjustment helps me continue offering the quality care you’re used to.

I’ll also be simplifying my offerings so I can better manage my schedule and keep everything running smoothly by phasing out package options at the same time.

For those who use packages, here’s how things will work before they’re discontinued:

•If you’re an existing package client and are due for a new package in December, you may purchase one more package before January 1.

•If you’re currently in the middle of a package, or have never purchased one, you may also purchase one package before January 1.

Packages purchased in December will need to be used by May 1, 2026, to help keep scheduling balanced and ensure availability for everyone.

I can only do 60 or 75 minutes right now and still haven't been cleared for deep tissue, but have been able to do firm Swedish massages no problem!

I have good news and bad news..

Good news.. Most of you know I've been dealing with chronic sciatic pain. Some of you know it's due to a fragment of a herniated disc that has broken off and is sitting on my nerve root. Today I met with a neurosurgeon and have a game plan!!

Bad news.. surgery is a lot sooner than I expected (August 12) and I will be out for some time. Right now, I have 4 weeks blocked off, but it could end up being more than that. I may be able to come back after 4 weeks, but will not be able to bend, twist, or lift. Meaning I will likely have to sit for most massages and will not be able to do any deep tissue work.

I have very few spots left between now and August 12, so if you have an appointment after the 12th and want in sooner, now is the time to book it!

Starting today, I will be doing a series of reels to showcase my add-ons! Finally, I know, right 😂

I have my volunteer for 3 massage tools I plan to start offering, but need a volunteer for my hot and cold therapy options, and I'd like to do a foot or body scrub too.

60 minutes should be plenty of time, but we can do 75 or 90 minutes too, and I will comp the add-ons!
