Life lately🏝️👙👗🩴👠🧳🌷
It will never be all work no play over here.
But stay tuned.
Looking at these drafts and realizing…
the process was never pointless.
Every version. Every edit. Every moment I questioned if I was really going to finish this.
It was all part of it.
This manuscript has stretched me, healed me, humbled me, and reminded me that purpose does not always move fast, but it does move.
Everything is working out exactly like it’s supposed to.
Have you checked your Self-Love Vital Signs today?
I’m learning that wellness isn’t always this perfectly balanced, peaceful, green-smoothie-looking journey.
Some days it’s giving:
“I don’t know how I’m about to do this, but I’m doing it.”
And honestly? That still counts.
Showing up when your mind is tired, your body is dragging, or your spirit feels a little shaky is a real form of self-love.
So no, you don’t have to have the whole plan today.
Just keep going.
One honest step at a time.
Have you checked your Self-Love Vital Signs today?
Seventeen years ago today, on June 25, 2009, I walked out of the testing center as a brand-new Registered Nurse. It’s also a date the world remembers for another reason (M.J. passed😢), but for me, it’s the day one of my ‘callings’ officially became my career.
Seventeen years later, I’m humbled by where this journey has taken me.
I’ve cared for some of the sickest patients on a Renal/Metabolic unit, in the ER, as a Travel Nurse, Agency Nurse, as a Long-Term Care Nurse
Practitioner, Instructor, National On-Call Provider, and now as an Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner. I’ve earned licensure in nine states, built my own healthcare business, and continue expanding into functional and holistic care because I believe healing should treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
Every role has taught me something. Every patient has changed me.
Nursing has stretched me, challenged me, humbled me, and shaped the person I am today. It has shown me that expertise isn’t a destination—it’s a lifelong commitment to learning, growing, and showing up for people when they need you most.
As the creator of ‘Self Love Vital Signs’, I’ve learned one of the greatest lessons of all: you cannot pour from an empty cup. Caring for others starts with caring for yourself.
To every patient who trusted me, every colleague who taught me, every mentor who challenged me, and every family who allowed me to be part of their story...thank you.
Here’s to 17 years of purpose, and to whatever God has planned for the chapters still to come. ❤️

Some moments REALLY hit different.
As an ‘80s baby, it’s hard to put into words what it meant to have the opportunity to serve the Legendary TEDDY RILEY while he was in Indianapolis for Juneteenth.
What stood out to me most wasn’t just his incredible musical legacy, it was his commitment to taking care of himself.
Success means little if you don’t have the health to enjoy it, and I truly admire those who intentionally invest in their well-being.
Being trusted to provide IV hydration to someone whose music helped shape generations was a full-circle moment I’ll never forget.
No selfie needed.
The blessing wasn’t the picture, it was the opportunity to serve with excellence.
Thank you for trusting me with your care.
Praying you have continued health, strength, and many more years of impacting the world through your gifts.
Here’s to choosing wellness, protecting our health, and showing up as our best selves every day. 💧✨
Today, I showed up anyway.
Gray hair. Weight fluctuations. Lab results that told me it’s time to pay closer attention to my health.
For a long time, we’ve been taught to only show the polished version of ourselves. The version that looks like we have it all figured out.
But real self-love isn’t waiting until everything is perfect.
Sometimes self-love is getting the labs. Sometimes it’s going to the gym. Sometimes it’s being honest about where you are while you’re still becoming who you’re meant to be.
This season of my wellness journey isn’t about perfection, it’s about paying attention.
Shout out to all my Nigerian clients who don’t play about their beauty regimen. May your skin glow for a lifetime.

Pouring into others while learning how to pour back into myself.
That’s the journey right now.
Real life. Real transparency. 🤍
Today’s lab experience honestly frustrated me.😔🤯
The technique concerned me, and as someone who understands healthcare, I know poor collection technique can potentially affect results.
But beyond that…
it reminded me how important gentleness, communication, and respect are when caring for people.
People deserve to feel seen.
People deserve compassionate care.
Still, I’m not letting one bad experience stop me from continuing my health journey.
If I need to redo the labs, I will.
Because my healing matters.
And honestly?
That’s part of self-love too.
