Sphinx Pose with Yoga Block
Lay on your belly and place a yoga block under your chin.
Come into sphinx with forearms grounded.
Relax the jaw and stretch the anterior neck.
Breathing: Slow nasal breathing.
Release the jaw on every exhale.

Cupping is one of those practices that makes people pause…
The marks, the history, the curiosity around it.
But what I’ve learned after 9 years of practicing is this,
healing doesn’t always start with science. It often starts with observation.
Long before research and studies, cultures around the world were using cupping to move stagnation, support the lungs, and help the body restore balance.
They didn’t have the language we have now, but they felt the results.
And now.
Science is catching us up.
We’re seeing how cupping increases circulation, decompresses fascia, supports the nervous system, and creates space for the body to reset.
But here’s where I land…
I don’t believe it’s one or the other.
I believe in both.
Ancient wisdom + modern understanding.
Because the body has always known how to heal
we’re just learning how to listen better.

A lot of the time our upper back pain is coming from chronically tight muscles in the anterior neck and chest. This is a simple and easy stretch to do to help.
Lay on your bed.
Shoulders supported
Allow the neck to fall back
Moving your neck side to side, light shaking, deep breathing, arms above the head all allow for a deeper stretch.

Your jaw is not just about teeth.
It’s not just about clenching.
It’s not just about stress.
Your jaw is part of a chain.
When the muscles of the jaw (masseter, temporalis, pterygoids) are constantly gripping, they don’t just stay local. Through fascial continuity, that tension travels down the deep front line of the body, into the throat, into the rib cage, into the diaphragm… and yes, all the way into the pelvis.
A tense jaw can limit the natural excursion of the diaphragm.
And when the diaphragm can’t fully descend and expand:
• Breath becomes shallow
• The nervous system stays guarded
• The rib cage stiffens
• The pelvic floor loses its natural rhythm
The diaphragm and pelvic floor are meant to move together like a pressure system. When one is restricted, the other compensates. That’s when we start seeing changes in posture, core stability, even pelvic tension or low back discomfort.
Science is continuing to study the fascial system, and what we’re learning is powerful:
The body is not a collection of separate parts. It is a connected network of chains.
Correction of the jaw, whether through manual therapy, breathwork, dental alignment, or nervous system regulation can restore the ability to breathe more fully. And when breath improves, posture reorganizes. The pelvis rebalances. The entire system recalibrates.
You cannot separate the jaw from the diaphragm.
You cannot separate the diaphragm from the pelvis.
Begin from within.
Breathe deeper.
Release the jaw.

Starting March 1, you’ll see a price increase, along with the introduction of weekly care plans and memberships.
This decision was made thoughtfully and with care.
We’ve seen time and time again that the body responds best to consistent care not just when pain arises, but as a practice of regulation, maintenance, and prevention. This growth in our business will allow us to support your nervous system more fully while also honoring the energy, training, and presence required to hold this work well.
