Ilike Organic Skin Care

Of the over 100 organic plants we currently use (vegetables, fruits, and herbs), the only protected plant is Stonecrop. Of course, we do not touch wild plants in this case, we rather grow the necessary amount on our organic plantation. Stonecrop was one of the very first plants in the work of Aunt Ilike. She learned a lot from her great-grandmother about the folk observation that the old peasants liked to plant it on the roof of their shingle or straw-roofed houses for its lightning-defense effect when grown on the roof. We use it in our ilike certified natural skincare products for its brightening and soothing effects to the great delight of our aesthetician partners and their guests, because it can help fade pigment, hyperpigmantation and slow down their development. It is also called “ear grass” because its squeezed juice has been used in folk medicine for many hundreds of years to treat ear infections. It is the most important ingredient in our Soothing Herbs Duo - gel and body lotion - that relieve skin irritation and redness often caused by the sun.
On our pictures, you can see the joyful moments of our work, because, just like the grape harvest, the harvesting and processing of Stonecrop, grown with hard work, is an important and defining event, too.

68 years ago today, Aunt Ilike officially began her career as an esthetician.
This moment became the foundation of our brand’s story — the birth of her fresh, plant‑based skincare philosophy.

In the early 1960s, she began developing our iconic recipes from her own kitchen, experimenting with fresh plants and herbs to create the first legendary masks and treatments. Her clientele grew quickly, and word spread naturally.

Throughout the 1970s and 80s, Aunt Ilike taught, lectured, and mentored countless estheticians. The concept of “fresh cosmetics” became known within the industry largely because of her pioneering work.

As demand grew, the official brand was established — yet the products continued to be crafted from fresh organic plants, by hand, in small batches.

In the 1990s and 2000s, we entered international markets, bringing Aunt Ilike’s philosophy to professionals and clients around the world.

From the 2000s onward, new‑generation innovations were introduced — such as plant stem cells, plant‑derived hyaluronic acid, probiotics, peptides, retinal, and ectoin, to name a few — while organic botanical ingredients and handcrafted production remained at the heart of ilike organics.

Aunt Ilike’s spirit, professional integrity, and nature‑centered approach continue to define our brand and inspire the esthetic community today.
