Do you sit for long periods of time? Then this is the stretch for you!

The couch stretch opens up the hip angle and allows for a great stretch of the hip flexors and quad muscles.

Do this in a kneeling position with your target knee on the ground, while tilting the pelvis backwards. Think of slow and mild with this stretch as opposed to intense and short for the best results!

Ever wondered how often you need to see your chiro?

Some chiropractors might try to convince you that you need to see them weekly FOREVER, and that is simply not true 🙅♂️

While your frequency might be heavy loaded towards the beginning of a treatment plan, that plan does not tend to last for the rest of time!

Think of your chiropractor like you think of the gym. You might go more frequently to achieve a certain goal (sweight loss, strength training, etc), but you don't do that forever. Just like the chiropractor, you can back off of the frequency and simply maintain your progress.

At the end of the day, it turns more into a want as opposed to a NEED. You enjoy feeling great, so you want to maintain that by coming in every now and again!

A lot of people think foot pain is only about the bottom of the foot. But sometimes the bigger issue is actually coming from a deeper stabilizing muscle higher up in the leg called the tibialis posterior.

This muscle works hard every time you walk, helping control how your arch absorbs force and stabilizes during push-off. When it becomes overloaded, people often notice aching or fatigue along the inside of the ankle, through the arch, into the heel, or even a feeling that the foot is getting tired or unstable the longer they’re on their feet.

One thing that makes this area tricky is that the pain often shows up in the foot, while the irritated tissue may actually be farther up the leg helping manage the mechanics of walking.

• why this area can become overloaded
• a simple self-care technique that may help reduce stress on the muscle
• and when a professional evaluation may be helpful
