WHAT YOUR BODY HAS BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU 🌿
Hair, Scalp & Skin: More Than Vanity
Changes in your hair, scalp, or skin may be your body’s way of telling you something has changed. Thinning, shedding, or scalp concerns can be connected to genetics, stress, hormones, nutrition, medications, or medical conditions.
Wanting answers isn’t vanity, it’s wellness.
Sometimes what we notice on the outside leads us to investigate what’s happening on the inside.
Have you noticed a change in your hair or scalp? 👇🏾

🌿 LET’S GET TO THE ROOT | Your Scalp Is Skin, Too
We moisturize our faces. Exfoliate. &
Cleanse.
Get facials. Buy serums that cost entirely too much. 🤷🏾♀️
But the scalp? We cover it with wigs, braids, sew-ins, oils, gels and edge control and sometimes don't really pay attention to it until something starts itching.
Here's your reminder:
Your scalp is skin, too. Persistent itching, flaking, tenderness, redness, excessive oiliness, dryness or buildup shouldn't automatically be treated with another oil or covered by another protective style.
Your scalp is the environment your hair is growing from.
And just like the skin on your face, it deserves attention.
This week, take a look at your scalp.
Not your hairstyle. Not your edges.
Your actual scalp.
What has it been trying to tell you? 👀🌿

Be Rooted. 💙💛
🌿 ROOTED TIP #1 Feed the good bacteria.
Try adding more fiber-rich foods gradually: berries, apples, beans, oats, leafy greens, avocado, and whole grains. Your gut microbes love fiber! Just remember increase fiber slowly and drink plenty of water to help avoid extra bloating. 💧
🌿 ROOTED TIP #2 Start noticing your patterns. 👀
For one week, pay attention to what you eat AND how your gut responds. Notice bloating, reflux, bowel changes, discomfort, stress, and even how well you slept. Sometimes the goal isn't immediately eliminating foods it's finding the pattern first.
🌿 ROOTED TIP #3 Your gut likes movement too!
A simple 10–15 minute walk after a meal can support digestion and has the added benefit of helping with post-meal blood sugar. And don't forget the basics: hydration, adequate sleep, and managing stress. Sometimes gut health starts with the things that don't come in a supplement bottle. 😂🌿
✨ SUNDAY MOTIVATION ✨
New week. New goals. New opportunities. And yes… some of the SAME problems. 😩😂 I digress. But we’re going to handle them differently this week.(How depends on how Peri M got me feeling)
Whatever didn’t happen last week, leave it there. You don’t need to drag last week’s disappointment, procrastination, bad attitude, or foolishness into a perfectly good Monday. 😭
This week:
✨ Protect your peace.
✨ Handle your business.
✨ Stop overthinking.
✨ Pray about it AND put some action behind that prayer.
✨ Give yourself grace but don’t use “grace” as an excuse to keep playing around. 😂
And if Plan A doesn’t work… baby, the alphabet has 25 more letters. Try em' all.
Have a great week. Be productive. Be positive. And please… stay out of mess that doesn’t have your name on it. 👀
CONSTANCE SAID IT.™
I said what I said.
🌿 Welcome to Trichology Fridays!
September Trichology Series: “Let’s Get to the Root”
You have a hairstylist. You may have a dermatologist. But do you know what a trichologist does? 👀
This new series is all about getting to the ROOT of hair and scalp health shedding, thinning, scalp concerns, breakage and more.
Because healthy hair starts with understanding what’s happening beneath the surface. 🌿
Let’s Get to the Root.

Perimenopause can make rejection sensitivity feel louder, but you’re not “too sensitive.” Hormonal changes may intensify emotional responses. Pause, name the feeling, regulate, then respond. Give yourself grace. 🌿
WHAT YOUR BODY HAS BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU 🌿|Inflammation
Not Always the Enemy:
Inflammation helps your body heal. The concern is when it becomes chronic.
Stress, poor sleep, inactivity, smoking, certain conditions, and highly processed diets all play a role.
Persistent fatigue, digestive changes, joint discomfort, or recurring skin issues may be worth noticing but don’t self-diagnose from social media or Google. 🙄
Notice patterns. Ask questions. Get evaluated when needed.
What signal have you been ignoring? 👀

Perimenopause really wakes up every morning and chooses CHAOS. 😂🔥
Hot flashes. Brain fog. Mood swings. No sleep. And somehow we’re still expected to act normal?! 😩😂
Today is NOT the day. Proceed with caution. ⚠️🤣
