Y’all got enough oil on your hair to fry chicken but it’s still dry. 😭. Just because your hair is shiny doesn’t mean it’s moisturized. Oil can help seal in moisture but it can’t replace hydration and conditioning.
We gotta get these hair routines together because adding more oil isn’t always the answer.
I’ve linked some of my favorite hair care products in my Amazon storefront. Link in bio!
Now be honest, is your hair moisturized or just greasy? 👀

Y’all really got in those comments saying curly hair doesn’t have to be even. 😭. Let’s clear something up. We’re not talking about curl shrinkage. We’re talking about the actual haircut.
Curly hair can be stretched and checked to make sure the haircut is balanced. Yes some haircuts are intentionally designed with different lengths but that’s not what we’re discussing here.
Being curly doesn’t mean proper haircutting techniques go out the window. Now let me ask y’all something. If you got a curly haircut and later straightened your hair only to discover that some sections were 2–3 inches longer than others would you be okay with that? Clients and hairstylists I want to hear from both of y’all!
Y’all really letting anybody cut your hair?! 😭
Do your research before you book. Look at their work, ask questions and make sure you and your stylist are on the same page before those shears come out.
It’s not about being afraid to trust a stylist with your hair. It’s about being confident in who you choose.
What makes you feel comfortable enough to trust a stylist with your hair?
That silk press expired and y’all still trying to renew the subscription. Repeatedly putting direct heat over hair with sweat, oil and product buildup isn’t bringing day one back. And continuing to go over it with heat can increase the risk of heat damage and breakage.
At some point let the silk press go. Shampoo/ condition and start fresh. How many times are y’all touching up that silk press? 👀
That slick ponytail might be cute but wearing it tight in the same spot every day can start showing up around that hairline. 😭 Switch up your style take it down at night and give that perimeter a break.
Now be honest who wearing that same ponytail tomorrow?
Y’all will call anything a trim as long as there’s still some hair left 😂 A trim is maintenance. Once we’re taking off several inches because of breakage, thin ends or damage, we’re having a different conversation.
So be honest how many inches have to hit the floor before you call it a haircut?
Y’all treat trims like tires. You wanna ride them until you see the wires 😂. The problem is the longer you hold on to damaged ends the more hair you may end up losing. Split ends can travel up the strand those thin ends can tangle and break, and now you’re losing the length you were trying so hard to keep. Trims are maintenance y’all. Don’t wait until them ends are falling off the bone. 😂

Y’all really want that conditioner to spend the night 😂 Leaving an instant conditioner on for 8 hours doesn’t mean you’re getting 8 hours of extra moisture. It’s made to do its job and be rinsed out within the recommended processing time.
If your conditioner isn’t giving your hair what it needs, you may need a different product not more time. I put some of my recommendations in my Amazon storefront. Link in bio.
Sleeping in conditioner doesn’t mean your hair is getting more moisture all night. Most rinse out conditioners are formulated to work within a specific processing time. Leaving them on for hours doesn’t automatically give you more benefit.
Deep conditioners and treatments may require more time so always follow the directions for the product you’re using. Your conditioner doesn’t need to see sunrise. 😂
Your hair is dry so you stopped shampooing it? Make that make sense. 😭
