“Why in the world are these WET?!” 😂

Bath salts…au’ natural ones that is; pesky little creations! And some draw worse than others.

There’s actually some pretty cool science behind it.

Some salts are hygroscopic, which means they naturally pull moisture right out of the air around them.

And one of the biggest moisture grabbers?

✨ Magnesium chloride.

Magnesium chloride is amazing in mineral soaks, but it LOVES water. In fact, it can pull so much humidity from the air that your beautiful fluffy bath salts can eventually become sticky, clumpy, or even a little slushy.

Dead Sea salts can behave similarly because they naturally contain magnesium and calcium salts. See, I’ve wanted the best ingredients in it. And they are -but drawing H20, no bueno.

Epsom salt, on the other hand, is magnesium sulfate and is usually much easier to work with. Sea salt and Himalayan salt are also generally more shelf-stable because they’re mostly sodium chloride.

So how do we keep bath salts from turning into a brick?

🌿 We balance the types of salts we use.
🌿 We keep ingredients completely dry while blending.
🌿 We may use ingredients like arrowroot, tapioca starch, kaolin clay, or colloidal oatmeal to help keep the blend loose and silky.
🌿 And most importantly — we package them tightly so humid air can’t constantly sneak in.

You can’t completely stop a highly hygroscopic ingredient from wanting moisture.

You simply formulate SMARTER around it.

And one little bath-salt myth while we’re here…

Salt absolutely interacts with water through things like osmosis, but your bath salts are not magically “pulling toxins” out of your body.

What they CAN do is create a beautiful mineral-rich soaking experience that feels relaxing, comforting, and wonderful on tired muscles and skin.

Chemistry really is fascinating.

These work great to stimulate hair growth and thicken roots with consistent use over time. I’m so excited and how our deodorant formula has come along. It’s baking soda free and I’m not sure there’s any other ingredients left on this planet that fight odor that we could put in it.

Why persimmon extract in deodorant???

Persimmon is naturally rich in tannins and polyphenols that can help neutralize odor-causing compounds instead of simply covering them up with fragrance.

That makes it such a beautiful addition to our deodorant formula alongside magnesium hydroxide and zinc ricinoleate — each ingredient working a little differently to help keep you feeling fresh.

We only use a small amount because persimmon is powerful, and we still want that silky, smooth glide we love.

Today is a soapy day apparently🤣 But we just gotta show off our Dew Me: Ultra Hydration honey soap.🍯🧼 So far we are hearing great things from yall about it!

This soap is dripping with goodness and when the temps drop it'll be handy to have. This is targeted at dry skin, especially your face! With good oils like Arnica, Helichrysum, Mexican vanilla, and more!! It has a sweet citrus scent from all of the different oils, no extra fragrance added.

Baby Soap for the most sensitive of skins💗

This soap uses our soothing goatsmilk base as well as honey to gently moisturize. It has added colloidal oatmeal for an extra soothing experience, and has a light fragrance from the demask rose essential oil we add.🫧🌹👶

We call this Baby Soap, but really its perfect for anyone who gets skin irritation and wants a bit of relief .
