2026 has not been my year for health.

My body is reading somewhere between or beyond, “Monday Mona & the bacon portion of my Angry Pig earrings”.

Hoping for more insight tomorrow at the doc, as I (beg for roids), and enter week 2 of a new mystery illness, and attempt to will my body back behind the chair, sooner than later🙏

Not being able to provide for my guests will always be worse than anything my body throws at me ❤️‍🩹

I’ve been reflecting a lot lately, about the recent physical losses of iconic, inspiring humans, that brought great joy, knowledge, perspective, and kindness into the world, and into view.

Their humanity, social stationing in life, and their willingness, and bravery, to openly share their gifts, has educated and personally affected, and inspired an immeasurable amount of humans, historically, and looking forward.

In my reflection, two things happened;

This has made me look at my life, and realize the wealth of humanity I am surrounded by, and how many inspiring individuals I have in my orb, that would also be globally celebrated, and mourned, if they were recognized for their movements, growth, kindness, and compassion, shown with the resources, in scale, accessible to them.

I also have learned so much in the last couple weeks, about how these icons have impacted me personally, as well as those close to me, and humanity as a whole.

Today, as I learned of Gloria Steinem’s passing, I’ve just started the process, of learning about her far reaching influence, on matters that have been a part of my daily existence as a woman.

In reading more about Gloria, I found it fitting, to acknowledge something that inspired the woman that inspired us.

Gloria found black women as foundational architects of the modern feminist movement, stating that she learned feminism disproportionately from them.

This picture, features Gloria Steinem, alongside Dorothy Pitman Hughes, a pioneering Black feminist,a child welfare advocate, author, and community activist.

Today I celebrate Gloria’s legacy, and the women and humans that inspired hers, and the humans that inspire mine every day.

Honored to have shared the same giant spinning rock, for some of your 97 years 🙏

Rest in polka dots, and a gentler peace than you were able to experience on this side of the polka dotted veil, Yayoi Kusama 🙏💞

I encourage you to read about her legacy. Celebrating the legacy of the beautiful souls, that have transitioned, and left us to do the hard work, with the beauty they have gifted us, is the way forward right now 🙏🫶
