I’m so incredibly proud of my nephew Jaden I could burst! Last night he graduated with honors from high school. Despite adversities thrown his way, he continuously overcame them through hard work and perseverance. An excellent student and academic (I mean, he took three AP classes on top of his already rigorous course load), a star athlete on both the track and wrestling teams, works as a lifeguard at the local community center, and was awarded the coveted KC Scholars scholarship, he has continued to impress me with his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. An auntie couldn’t be more proud. Now he’s off to college in the fall to study Engineering, and though I’ll miss his humor and seeing his bright smile on the regular, I know he’s off to bigger and better things.
