Hi! I’m Deanne, or Dee if you want. 😀 I’m 36 years old and I still care way too much about what other people think of me.

I’m telling you this because I recently decided to try something different and was a little nervous about what others were going to think.

I had to stop and really think about why this even happens. I think deep down we all want people to like us and approve of the decisions we make for ourselves. But guess what? Not everyone is going to approve. And some people will even be upset with you and criticize you. Heck, some even do it to your face!

The only thing that should matter though, is what you think of yourself. You made a decision to try something new so you already approve. I think that’s actually the hardest part.

Putting yourself out on public display is also scary, but can have massive rewards. If you’re reading this you’re doing so on social media. We are all “out there” in some form or another and with that will come critics, and even haters. But those people aren’t YOUR people.

Your people are the ones in your corner rooting for your success. They are the ones in your dms telling you good job and they are proud of you. Those are the people you should hold on to.

I believe we all are searching for a community to support us and cheer us on when life gets hard. We all need people who we can lean on during life’s ups and downs.

I’m here to share I found my people. I found my community and I’m so excited to grow into a better human. I started my journey almost 3 years ago, but only now have I decided to “upgrade” my experience. I hope you enjoy what I have to share. I hope I can be a positive light in a world that can seem dark at times.

I’m here to cheer you on no matter how big or small your dreams and goals are. I live by the golden rule and hope you do too. 🥰

Summer is in full swing! I’ve been having so much fun with my nails each week. These ombré purple (sadly sold out) are bringing so much joy to my days.

How are you spending your summer?

Here’s the result of today’s get ready with me look featuring the new Zodiac sign gloss.

This is my go-to summer face. When I’m feeling extra, I’ll add color to my eyes, cheeks and lips.

The best part is this only takes me 5-7 minutes depending on my mood. I love that my products are sweat-proof and will last through my sweaty workout and humid walks in the summertime.

So of course the 4th is no exception. I believe holidays are excuses to wear the bold colors proudly.

My makeup has lasted through lunch, drinks, and an hour long humid and sweaty walk.

I love bold colors. If you knew me in high school you saw me wear bold patterns, prints, and fun makeup. As an adult, I was told to tone it down for the professional workspace. Let me tell you that didn’t go over well with me.

And honestly, it’s a lie. So many workplaces are accepting of hair colors, styles, clothing choices, etc.

So this is me in my element. Playing with color fills my cup. I will not be kept in a cage.

Summer is right around the corner! I’m so excited for all that’s to come for us this year. I wanted to feel all the love and happiness through my mani so I chose to use leftover nail dashes to create a rainbow.

The rainbow means different things to people. I don’t see it as anything negative, but rather hope, love, optimism, and joy.

I choose to spend my time living in the present and feeling hopeful for a bright future. If I can shed any positivity on this world and make one person smile then I’ve achieved my purpose.

Something I’ve learned the last few years is that baby steps are the path to success. Making small changes each day can really add up!

I’ve been saving up for a new house and can’t wait to share more about that with you soon!

My company gave us a mental health day today so I treated myself to breakfast, coffee, alone time, and a massage.

I’m also looking forward to an intense workout later. Ooof.
