This was my go to resource during my cancer journey! And this is why!
Also check out the Square One Modules, one of them is about forgiveness. The journey of forgiveness showed me who I was, who I am and who God has purposed me to "becoming" until He returns.

The financial burden associated with cancer is staggering for many with or without insurance. Be a part of the solution by engaging in the ONCO-NET STUDY! This is an opportunity to capture survivor feedback in a effort to determine the best way to use the mobile application. The potential result is developing the resource matching tool with the needs of the user.
Thank you for your time!

Dear Friends, People often ask about the why of www.ican-sir.og and this article speaks volumes towards our mission. Thanks Black Health Matters for sharing this information with us.
When Cancer Rates Drop, But Not For Black Women The American Cancer Society released its annual survey on cancer mortality rates. The only group that didn't improve was Black women.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
American Cancer Society (ACS) recognizes the intense emotional and financial distress caregiving often causes for the caregiver and will provide meaningful assistance through the Caregiver Support Fund with our partners at Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF). PAF will offer case management services and direct financial assistance to caregivers of loved ones who have been diagnosed with cancer and are currently undergoing treatment.
The fund will help people with $2000 each, 1 time only, to cover the out-of-pocket costs of living expenses including transportation, housing, utilities, respite care, food and nutrition needs as well. The fund will be open for applicants through the remainder of 2024 for applications.
Patients must meet certain eligibility criteria for their caregiver to be eligible for financial assistance from the fund. Eligibility for the funding includes:
• Patients must have a confirmed diagnosis of cancer, any type, any stage, confirmed by the patient’s treating physician and/or his designee through the submission of a signed physician’s form.
• Applicants must have a current annual household income at or below 500% of the Federal Poverty Guideline (FPG). Note: Parent or legal guardian information will be screened to confirm their identity and income eligibility if the applicants are under 18 years of age.
• Patients must be US citizens or permanent residents and reside in the US or US territories, which is verified by applicant’s physical address, and attested to by the applicant.
PAF will screen applicants and administer the fund. You can learn more, and apply, by visiting the PAF Financial Aid Fund / https://www.patientadvocate.org/conn.../financial-aid-funds/ information page. If you know someone who could benefit from this program, applications can be made by calling 844-462-8072 or online 24/7 using the PAF Financial Aid Fund portal / https://financialaid.patientadvocate.org/ #/login
