Here’s the reality: 1. Establishing a trusting relationship anyone can press hair, but not everyone can make your hair grow. Stylists that cater to healthy hair and your journey are the ones that are going to keep your hairs integrity at their best interest. Although adding heat may not seem ideal it is possible to do both. 2. Be consistent After finding the right stylist, it is best to keep going back. They will learn you and your hairs needs. They can keep track of your journey and give extra tips and tricks to put you back on course incase you step off track. 3. Heat trained hair vs damaged hair This is a misconception a lot of naturals have. But heat trained hair is healthy hair! Let’s face it, constantly pressing your hair WILL over time loosen the pattern of your natural hairs pattern. It will take longer to revert or possibly not at all. But with a proper routine, products and not using excessive heat it will continue to stay strong healthy without breakage or burning. 3. Keep up with your trims The hair is always naturally going to split on its own.
